 WE CAN TRUST JESUS

"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Hebrews 12:2
King James Version

No matter how many times we fail Jesus and hurt Him, we can trust Him to still love us. He will take our hand and keep us safe through all the dangers and heartaches of this life.

We are indeed privileged to know Jesus and to have Him as our Saviour. Thank You, Jesus, for everything. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me.

 NOW

"The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee."

Jeremiah 31:3
King James Version

Jesus always knows when we can't go another step or give another smile because satan has attacked us so much we feel like giving up and going to bed and staying there.

However, Jesus didn't give up when He was hanging on the cross with the blood flowing down His body. He stayed on the cross and we must stay on the battlefield for Him just as He stayed on the cross for us when He was in so much pain and felt so alone.

Ray Overholt wrote a beautiful hymn about Jesus that always brings tears to my eyes to know how much He loves us "TEN THOUSAND ANGELS".

"They bound the hands of Jesus In the garden where He prayed They led Him thro' the streets in shame They spat upon the Savior So pure and free from sin They said crucify Him He's to blame

He could have called ten thousand angels To destroy the world and set Him free He could have called ten thousand angels But He died alone for you and me".

I have said this many times and I will keep saying it until God calls me home to Heaven. No one loves us like Jesus loves us and nobody ever will.

Other people only know what we tell them but Jesus looks into our heart and He sees the loneliness and heartache we try to hide from others.

We should share what God gives us with others but the most important thing we need to share with one another is the love of Jesus. When we are kind and loving to one another, they feel the unconditional love Jesus has for them.

Do others know Jesus loves them by the kind words you say to them and the kind way you treat them? We need to remember that Jesus said when we are kind to others, we are kind fo Him.

"And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Matthew 25:40

Are we being kind and loving to Jesus or are we hurting Him and breaking His heart by the things we say and the things we do? May God have mercy on us if we are hurting His beloved Son.

 JESUS UNDERSTANDS

"The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee."

Jeremian 31:3
King James Version

John Peterson wrote a beautiful hymn about Jesus "NO ONE UNDERSTANDS LIKE JESUS" Yes, Jesus understands when we are discouraged and sad and the tears start to roll down our cheeks because He has been there, discouraged, lonely and brokenhearted. and He knows how it feels to have a broken heart.

Jesus didn't have anyone when He was crucified on the cross for our sins. He was alone. Even God had to turn away from His beloved Son because Jesus had taken our sins on Him and God is a Holy God and He can't look at sin.

How the tears must have run down the cheeks of our Heavenly Father and Jesus when our Saviour left Hs home and all that He had to come to earth and die on the cross for your sins and for my sins.

"No one understands like Jesus; He's a Friend beyond compare. Meet Him at the throne of mercy; He is waiting for You there.
No one under-stands like Jesus When the days are dark and grim. No one is so near, so dear as Jesus; Cast Your every care on Him.
No understands like Jesus; Every woe He sees and feels. Tenderly He whispers comfort, And the broken heart He heals."

Yes, Jesus does understand and it breaks His heart when we are sad. The next time you are hurting, tell Jesus. He will pick you up in His arms of love and will carry you until the pain goes away.

What a privilege is ours to be loved by the Saviour of the world. I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for loving me and for caring.

 OUR HEAVENLY FATHER

"For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death."

Psalms 48:14

King James Version

Mrs. Alice A. Harper wrote a beautiful hymn "LET ME WALK WITH THEE". If ever we needed our Heavenly Father, it is now! This world is full of violence and satan is doing his best to discourage us from serving Jesus.

"Father, let me feel Thy presence; Come, dear Lord, abide with me, I am thirsting for Thy guidance, Let me daily walk with Thee. Father, guide me, lest I perish, Lead me, Jesus, evermore; To the living fount of waters, For my feet are bruised and sore."

Just as Jesus stayed on the cross for us, we need to stay on the battlefield for Jesus. Our Saviour has warned us to be on the alert for the attacks of satan. We read this in the Bible.

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" 1 Peter 5:7, 8

Rev. Elisha Albright Hoffman wrote the beautiful hymn "I MUST TELL JESUS". It is so true that we must tell Jesus because only our loving Saviour can heal a broken heart.

"I must tell Jesus all of my trials; I cannot bear these burdens alone; In my distress He kindly will help me; He ever loves and cares for His own."

Thank You, Jesus, for caring and for never leaving us. You are so precious to me and one happy joyous day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

If you have never asked God to forgive you for your sins and invited Jesus to be your personal Saviour, do it now even as you read this devotion. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

 ARE WE DOING IT

"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."

Isaiah 53:5
King James Version

Rev. Thomas O. Chisholm wrote the beautiful hymn "Living for Jesus". Are we doing what we sing in this hymn?

"Living for Jesus, a life that is true,
Striving to please Him in all that I do; Yielding allegiance, glad-hearted and free, This is the pathway of blessing for me.

O Jesus, Lord and Savior, I give myself to Thee, For Thou, in Thy atonement, didst give Thyself for me; I own no other Master, my heart shall be Thy throne; My life I give, henceforth to live, O Christ, for Thee alone."

Are we living for Jesus? Have we given Him first place in our heart, in our life and in all that we do? May God help us to make Jesus the King of our life.

Jennie E. Hussey wrote the hymn "LEAD ME TO CALVARY". Have you been to Calvary and invited Jesus into your heart to be your Saviour?

"King of my life, I crown Thee now, Thine shall the glory be; Lest I forget Thy thorn crowned brow, Lead me to Calvary.

Lest I forget Gethsemane, Lest I forget Thine agony; Lest I forget Thy love for me, Lead me to Calvary.

Show me the tomb where Thou wast laid, Tenderly mourned and wept; Angels in robes of light arrayed Guarded Thee whilst Thou slept.

May I be willing, Lord, to bear Daily my cross for Thee; Even Thy cup of grief to share, Thou hast borne all for me."

There are times when I get discouraged because I am in pain and can't do what I need to do and then I remember Jesus is with me and He will never leave me.

What a privilege it is to be loved by the Saviour of the world! I love You, dear Jesus, and I appreciate everything You have done for me and one happy day I will have the privilege to see You face to face and I will be with You forever.

 A HAPPY DAY

"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord."

2 Corinthians 3:18
King James Version

James Warren Acuff wrote one of my favorite hymns "JUST OVER IN THE GLORY LAND". I love the words in this hymn.

"I’ve a home prepared Where the saints abide, Just over in the glory land; And I long to be by my Savior’s side, Just over in the glory land.

Just over in the glory land, I’ll join the happy angel band, Just over in the glory land; Just over in the glory land, There with the mighty host I’ll stand, Just over in the glory land."

One happy day we will be with Jesus forever. What a day of rejoicing and happiness that is going to be. I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for loving me when I was so unlovely and for never leaving me.

 THE PRAYER OF MY HEART

"He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young."

Isaiah 40:11
King James Version

Rev. Cleland Boyd McAfee wrote a beautiful hymn "NEAR TO THE HEART OF GOD". I love the words in this hymn.

"There is a place of quiet rest, Near to the heart of God. A place where sin cannot molest, Near to the heart of God.

O Jesus, blest Redeemer, Sent from the heart of God, Hold us who wait before Thee Near to the heart of God."

The prayer of my heart is to be near to the heart of God. If ever we needed Him, it is now. We are living in a world filled with things that hurt Him and break His heart. It is time we do things and say things that make Him happy.

 DON'T GIVE UP

"And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren."

22:31, 32
King James Version

It makes satan very angry when we serve Jesus and he will do all he can do to discourage us so much that we stop serving Jesus. We must stay on the battlefield for Jesus just as He stayed on the cross for us.

Thank You, Jesus for loving us unconditionally and for staying on the cross for us. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me. May we stay on the battlefield for You.

 THE BEATING OF OUR SAVIOUR

"Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."

1 Peter 2:24
King James Version

Every time I hear this hymn, I am reminded once again of what a precious Saviour we are privileged to know and have. The name of this inspiring and heart touching hymn is "The Healer".

"On the cross crucified, In great sorrow he died; The Giver of Life is he. Yet my Lord was despised And rejected of men, This Jesus of Calvary.

He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; Surely he bore our sorrows, And by his stripes we are healed."

Yes, our precious Saviour did all of this for us and He had never done anything wrong. What are we doing for Him?
Does Jesus know you love Him? Have you told Him that you love Him? He has feelings too and He wants us to tell Him that we love Him.

I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for everything. You are precious and You are faithful. Thank You for nevr leaving me, not even for one minute.

 EVERYTHING

"Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;"

Ephesians 5:20
King James Version

Don Moen wrote a beautiful hymn. It is one of my favorites "Give Thanks". I wonder how often we thank our Heavenly Father for all He has done for us.

"Give thanks with a grateful heart Give thanks to the Holy One Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son And now let the weak say, "I am strong" Let the poor say, "I am rich Because of what the Lord has done for us"

I do thank You, Heavenly Father, for all You have done for me. What a healing balm it is to our weary heart to know You will never hit us or kick us out of Heaven. I love You, dear Father.

 STILL KNOCKING

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

Revelation 3:20
King James Version

Rev. Sylvanus D. Phelps wrote the hymn "LET THE MASTER IN" Have you opened the door of your heart and let Jesus come in, not only to be your Saviour but also to be your best Friend Who loves you so much He died for you?

"Once I heard a sound at my heart’s dark door, And was roused from the slumber of sin; It was Jesus knocked, He had knocked before; Now I said, Blessèd Master, come in.

Then open, open, open, let the Master in; For the heart will be bright with a heav’nly light When you let the Master in."

Have you made room for Jesus in your heart and in your life? If not, you are hurting Him and breaking His heart.
Daniel W. Whittle wrote the hymn "HAVE YOU ANY ROOM FOR JESUS?"

"Have you any room for Jesus, He who bore your load of sin? As He knocks and asks admission, Sinners, will you let Him in?

Room for Jesus, King of Glory! Hasten now His Word obey; Swing the heart’s door widely open, Bid Him enter while you may.

Room for pleasure, room for business, But for Christ the Crucified, Not a place that He can enter, In the heart for which He died?"

One day every one of us will stand before God and give an account of the way we treated His beloved Son. How sad it will be if we can't look in His eyes because we hurt Jesus. Let's make a special effort to be kind and loving to Jesus.

 GIVE HIM THANKS

"O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever."

Psalms 107:1
King James Version

Fanny Crosby wrote the beautiful hymn "REDEEMED, HOW I LOVE TO PROCLAIM IT!" Are you telling everyone that Jesus has saved you? I love the words in this hymn.

"Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it! Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb; Redeemed through His infinite mercy, His child and forever I am.

Redeemed, redeemed, Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb; Redeemed, redeemed, His child and forever I am.

Redeemed, and so happy in Jesus, No language my rapture can tell; I know that the light of His presence With me doth continually dwell."

Thank You, dear Jesus, for redeeming me. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me. Thank You for coming to me when I couldn't go to You.

 DO WE TRUST HIM

"And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him."

Psalms 37:40
King James Version

Do we trust Him? If not, we are hurting Him and breaking His heart. Edgar Page Stites wrote one of my favorite hymns "TRUSTING JESUS". We sing this beautiful hymn but do we mean what we are singing?

"Simply trusting every day, Trusting through a stormy way; Even when my faith is small, Trusting Jesus, that is all.

Trusting as the moments fly, Trusting as the days go by; Trusting Him whate’er befall, Trusting Jesus, that is all."

May God help us to trust Jesus with everything. He will never hurt us or fail us. I love You, Jesus, and I appreciate all You have done for me.

 CAN YOU SING THIS HYMN

"(A Song of degrees.) Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD. Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications."

Psalms 130:1, 2
King James Version

Rev. William True Sleeper wrote a beautiful hymn "JESUS, I COME". Can you sing this to Jesus and mean it?

"Out of my bondage, sorrow, and night, Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come; Into Thy freedom, gladness, and light, Jesus, I come to Thee;

Out of my sickness, into Thy health, Out of my want and into Thy wealth, Out of my sin and into Thyself, Jesus, I come to Thee.

Out of my shameful failure and loss, Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come; Into the glorious gain of Thy cross, Jesus, I come to Thee.

Out of earth’s sorrows into Thy balm, Out of life’s storms and into Thy calm, Out of distress to jubilant psalm, Jesus, I come to Thee.

Out of unrest and arrogant pride, Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come; Into Thy blessèd will to abide, Jesus, I come to Thee.

Out of myself to dwell in Thy love, Out of despair into raptures above, Upward for aye on wings like a dove, Jesus, I come to Thee.

Out of the fear and dread of the tomb, Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come; Into the joy and light of Thy throne, Jesus, I come to Thee.

Out of the depths of ruin untold, Into the peace of Thy sheltering fold, Ever Thy glorious face to behold, Jesus, I come to Thee."

Our Saviour knows what is in our heart and it hurts Him when we sing hymns to Him and don't mean it because we're just singing the words.

If you have never made a heart commitment to Jesus, you have just said the words, I urge you to give your heart and life to Jesus even as you read this devotion. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

 NEVER TOO LATE

"Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest."

John 4:35
King James Version

Jasper P. Sewell wrote the hymn "’TIS NEVER TOO LATE TO BE WORKING" The words in this hymn are true.

’Tis never too late to be working, The fields are all shining so bright; Go work in them now with all pleasure, And bring in the sheaves with delight.

Go labor today, the summons obey; The fields are so bright, Go gather the sheaves while you may."

Rev. Knowles Shaw wrote one of my favorite hymns "Bringing in the Sheaves".

"Sowing in the morning, sowing seeds of kindness, Sowing in the noontide and the dewy eve; Waiting for the harvest, and the time of reaping, We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.

Bringing in the sheaves, Bringing in the sheaves, We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves; Bringing in the sheaves, Bringing in the sheaves, We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves."

Jesus asks all of us this question in the Bible. Have we answered His call to service?

"Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest."

Have you answered the call of Jesus to serve Him? Jesus may not call us to go to another country but He is calling all of us to serve Him right where we live. If you aren't serving Jesus, I urge you to start serving Him.

Jesus loves you so much He died for you. Thank You, Jesus, for all You have done for us. I love You and appreciate everything You have done for me.

 GOD GIVES US PEACE

"The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace."

Psalms 29:11
King James Version

Rev. Warren D. Cornell wrote the beautiful and heart touching hymn "WONDERFUL PEACE". Thank God for the peace He gives us.

"Far away in the depths Of my spirit tonight Rolls a melody sweeter than psalm; In celestial-like strains It unceasingly falls O’er my soul like an infinite calm.

What a treasure I have In this wonderful peace, Buried deep in the heart of my soul, So secure that no power Can mine it away, While the years of eternity roll!

I am resting tonight In this wonderful peace, Resting sweetly in Jesus’ control; For I’m kept from all danger By night and by day, And His glory is flooding my soul!

Peace, peace, wonderful peace, Coming down from the Father above! Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray In fathomless billows of love!"

Do you have this peace? Has there been a time in your life when you told God you were sorry for your sins, asked Him to forgive you and invited Jesus to come into your heart and save you?

If not, don't wait another minute. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the Ohe Who loves you so much He died for you. Give your heart and life to Jesus even as you read this devotion. He is waiting for you to come to Him with open arms and a heart full of love for you.

Colossians 3:11

Will L. Thompson wrote a beautiful hymn "JESUS IS ALL THE WORLD TO ME". The words in this heart touching and inspiring hymn are so true.

"Jesus is all the world to me, My life, my joy, my all; He is my strength from day to day, Without Him I would fall. When I am sad, to Him I go, No other one can cheer me so; When I am sad, He makes me glad, He’s my friend.

Jesus is all the world to me, My friend in trials sore; I go to Him for blessings, and He gives them over and o’er. He sends the sunshine and the rain, He sends the harvest’s golden grain; Sunshine and rain, harvest of grain, He’s my friend.

Jesus is all the world to me, And true to Him I’ll be; O how could I this friend deny, When He’s so true to me? Following Him I know I’m right, He watches o’er me day and night; Following Him by day and night, He’s my friend."

 SAVED BY THE BLOOD

"For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.".

Matthew 18:11
King James Version

Every time I read this verse, I am reminded of how much Jesus loves me and how much He has done for me.

S. J. Henderson wrote a beautiful hymn that always brings tears to my eyes to realize what a precious Saviour we have. The name of this inspiring hymn is "SAVED BY THE BLOOD".

"Saved by the blood of the Crucified One! Now ransomed from sin and a new work begun, Sing praise to the Father and praise to the Son, Saved by the blood of the Crucified One!

Glory, I’m saved! Glory, I’m saved! My sins are all pardoned, my guilt is all gone! Glory, I’m saved! Glory, I’m saved! I am saved by the blood of the Crucified One!"

Another hymn that fills my heart with praise and gratitude to Jesus is the beautiful inspiring hymn "He Came to Me" by Squire Parsons.

"The gulf that separated me from Christ, my Lord, It was so vast the crossing I could never ford; From where I was to His domain, it seemed so far, I cried, "Dear Lord, I cannot come to where you are."

He came to me, O, He came to me. When I could not come to where He was, He came to me. That's why He died on Calvary, When I could not come to where He was, He came to me."

For those of you who have been on my mailing list for a long time, you know that Jesus came to me when I was lying under a bed in a mental hospital where I had crawled because I was afraid of everyone and everything.

Jesus put His loving arms of compassion around me and lifted me up from under that bed. He told me He loves me and that He will never leave me and He hasn't left me, not even for one minute.

A Bed of Love

"I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears."

Psalm 6: 6
King James Version

Sometimes we put on a mask of happiness during the day but our hearts are breaking and when we go to bed at night and nobody can see us, the tears flow.

There are some days when it seems like everything has conspired against us and it makes the day seem very long and painful.

However, when we go to bed and lay on the pillow of love, Jesus, He wipes our tears away with His loving kisses and pours a healing salve of understanding and compassion in our hearts. He leans over our beds and softly and gently whispers in our ears "I Love you".

There is no friend like Jesus! No one loves us like Jesus loves us. Thank You, Jesus, for being a Friend Who really cares about us and Who never leaves us, not even for a minute.
You are never too busy for us.

Thank You for always being there and listening to us when we are hurting and our hearts are breaking.
You are wonderful, Jesus.

You are the lily of the valley and the bright and morning star. You are the King of kings and Lord of lords. All hail, King Jesus! Thank You for loving us especially when we hurt You.

Yes, there are times when people hurt us and we go to bed feeling sad and all alone. However, there are also times when we hurt our loved ones and friends and they go to bed with heavy hearts.

A lot of times we're not even aware we have hurt them. May God forgive us if we have been guilty of saying thoughtless and unkind words to someone and he or she goes to bed with a broken heart because of us!

Jesus didn't have a bed of love when He was here on earth so let's make Him a bed of love in our hearts so that He feels loved and wanted.

 JESUS IS WAITING FOR YOU

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

Matthew 11:28
King James Version

Jesus understands how it feels to be tired and He is waiting with open arms and a heart full of love for us to come to Him so He can give us rest. Jesus also grew weary and needed to rest. We read about this in the Bible.

"Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour." John 4:6

One of my favorite hymns is "REVIVE US AGAIN" If ever we needed revival it is now because satan will do his best to discourage us so much that we stop serving Jesus. We must not let that happen. We must stay on the battlefield for Jesus just as He stayed on the cross for us.

"We praise Thee, O God! For the Son of Thy love, For Jesus who died, And is now gone above.

We praise Thee, O God! For Thy Spirit of light, Who hath shown us our Savior, And scattered our night.

Hallelujah! Thine the glory. Hallelujah! Amen. Hallelujah! Thine the glory. Revive us again."

Thank You, Jesus, for understanding and for caring when we are tired and hurting. You so so precious and I love You so much. Thank You for all You have done for me.

 THE CLEANSING BLOOD

"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the" light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."

1 John 1:7
King James Version

Manie P. Ferguson wrote a beautiful hymn "JESUS SAVES ME". I love the words.

"Jesus saves me, this I know, Underneath the crimson flow; He has washed away my sin, Made me white and pure within.

Yes, Jesus saves me; Yes, Jesus saves me; Yes, Jesus saves me, And cleanses me from sin.

Sinful though my nature be, Jesus died to set me free; Died that sin might be destroyed, Died that love might fill the void."

Thank God for the cleansing blood of Jesus that cleanses us from sin. I love You, Jesus. Thank You for everything.

 UNSPEAKABLE JOY

"Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:”

1 Peter 1:8
King James Version

Rev. Barney E. Warren wrote one of my favorite hymns that brings happiness to me every time I hear it "JOY UNSPEAKABLE".

"I have found His grace is all complete, He supplieth ev’ry need; While I sit and learn at Jesus’ feet, I am free, yes, free indeed.

It is joy unspeakable and full of glory, Full of glory, full of glory, It is joy unspeakable and full of glory, Oh, the half has never yet been told.

I have found the pleasure I once craved, It is joy and peace within; What a wondrous blessing! I am saved From the awful gulf of sin.

I have found that hope so bright and clear, Living in the realm of grace; Oh, the Savior’s presence is so near, I can see His smiling face.

I have found the joy no tongue can tell, How its waves of glory roll! It is like a great o’erflowing well, Springing up within my soul."

What a healing balm it is to our weary battle scarred heart to know Jesus loves us even when we hurt Him and fail Him. Thank You for everything, dear Jesus. I love You so much.

 JESUS LOVES US

"The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee."

Jeremiah 31:3
King James Version

We know Jesus loves us because He proved it when He allowed them to cruciy Him on the cross for our sins. Do we love Him? If we do love Him, what are we doing to prove to Him that we love Him?

 THE GREATEST AND HAPPIEST DAY

"And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowes"t. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."

Revelation 7:14
King James Version

Fanny Crosby wrote a beautiful hymn "THE BLOOD-WASHED THRONG".

"There is a blood-washed multitude, a mighty army strong; The Lord of hosts their righteousness, redeeming love their song.
They follow Christ whose name they bear, to yonder portals bright, Where He has said His faithful ones shall walk with Him in white.

That precious name their guiding star, its beams will o’er them cast, And through its power their trusting souls shall overcome at last. The glory cloud will bring them safe to yonder palace bright, Where they shall see Him eye to eye and walk with Him in white.

March on! O blood-washed multitude, for lo! the hour draws nigh, When we shall hail the King of kings triumphant in the sky. When songs of praise to Him we love, shall fill the courts of light, And they that overcome the world, shall walk with Him in white."

The only thing I can say after this is what we sing in this beautiful heart touching and inspiring hymn "Oh What A Savior".

"Once I was straying, in sin's dark valley, No hope within could I see. They searched through Heaven and found a Savior, To save a poor, lost soul like me.

Oh, what a Savior, oh hallelujah! His heart was broken on Calvary His hands were nail scarred, His side was riven, He gave His life's blood for even me.

Death's chilling' water I'll soon be crossing, But His hand will lead me safe oe'r. Then I'll join the chorus, in that bright city, And I'll sing up there forevermore!

Oh, what a Savior, oh hallelujah! His heart was broken on Calvary His hands were nail scarred, His side was riven, He gave His life's blood for even me."

Jesus died on the cross for us and shed His precious blood for us. What are we doing for Him? I love You so much, dear Jesus.  Thank You for everything.

 EVERYTHING

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."

Matthew 11:28, 29
King James Version

Rev. Cleavant Derricks wrote a beautiful inspiring hymn "Just a Little Talk With Jesus". I'm so glad the words in this hymn are true.

"I once was lost in sin But Jesus took me in And then a little light from heaven Filled my soul. He filled my heart with love, He wrote my name above Just a little talk with my Jesus Gonna make it right.

Have a little talk with Jesus And tell Him all about your troubles, He'll hear our faintest cry And He will answer by and by.

When you feel a little down, You have a little fire burning, Well, have a little talk with my Jesus Gonna make it right.

You may have doubts and fears, Your eyes may fill with tears, Now Jesus is a friend Who watches day and night;

Well, He wrote my name above And He filled my soul with love. Well, just a little talk with my Jesus Gonna make it right."

Thank You, dear Jesus, for taking all of our heartaches away and for never leaving us. I love You.

 OUR PROTECTIVE SAVIOUR

"For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD."

Psalms 27:5, 6
King James Version

Doctors can perform open heart surgery but only Jesus can heal a broken heart. Thank You, Jesus, for caring and for all You do for us. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me.

 OUR SAVIOUR LEADS US

"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever."

Psalms 23
King James Version

Henry H. Tilson wrote the beautiful hymn "LEAD ME, SHEPHERD". I love the words in this inspiring hymn.

"Lead me through the fields of sunshine And the pastures green; On Thy arms of love and mercy, Let me ever lean. Lead me, lead me, O Thou blessèd One; Lead me, lead me, Lead me gently on."

Thank You, Jesus, for leading us and for caring about us so much You died on the cross for us and for all You do for us. I love You and appreciate You.

 MARCHING FOR JESUS

"Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

Ephesians 6:11,12
King James Version

W. N." Manchester wrote the hymn "ONWARD, CHRISTIAN!". Let the words in this hymn challenge and encourage you to serve Jesus.

"Onward! Christian, to the conflict, Hark! the sound of battle near, Take the sword thy Lord hath giv’n thee, Word of truth forever dear.
Onward! onward! Join the glad, victorious throng, Alleluia! Alleluia! To our king shall be our song."

Jesus was crucified for us. The least we can do is serve Him and give Him first place in our heart, in our time and in everything we do.

Have you told Jesus today that you love Him? If not, you are hurting Him and breaking His heart. I love You so much, dear Jesus. Thank You for dying for me and for all You do for me every day.
