 WE NEED A REVIVAL

"Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?"

Psalms 85:6
King James Version

If ever we needed a revival, it is now! The world is full of hatred and violence and we desperately need a revival. However, before we can have a revival there must first be an awakening. It is impossible to revive something you have never had.

Heavenly Father, please forgive me for not always loving others as I should love them. Help us to be encouragers instead of discouraging people. Thank You for Your help. I love You. What a privilege it is to be part of Your family.

 GIVE GOD THE PRAISE

"I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase."

1 Corinthians 3:6
King James Version

Someone made the comment "It is because of me that this person is saved". That is a lie straight from the pits of hell. We can plant and water but only God can give the increase.

Can we honestly say that we are loving others unconditionally as Jesus has commanded us to love others? Do we love others and plant and water for Jesus every day? If not, we are hurting Him and breaking His heart.

Dottie Rambo wrote a beautiful heart touchng inspiring hymn that always brings tears of happiness to my eyes to know Jesus loves us so much "If That Isn't Love".

"He left the Splendor of Heaven Knowing His destiny Was the lonely hill of Golgotha There to lay down His life for me.

If that isn't love The ocean is dry There's no stars in the sky And the sparrow can't fly If that isn't love Then Heavens a myth There's no feeling like this If that isn't love.

Even in death He remembered The thief hanging by His side He spoke with love and compassion Then He took him to Paradise."

What kind of love is this? This is a giving unconditional love that can only come from the hearts of our loving and compassionate Heavenly Father and Saviour.

They have proved how much They love us. What are we doing to prove to Them how much we love Them? Do we love Them?

We can say anything. It's what we do that shows Them that we love Them. We will have to get out of our comfort zone and tell those who are hurting that God and Jesus love them.

There are some people who will get up early in the morning to go fishing or on vacation but won't get up early to go and encourage those who are hurting and tell them how much God and Jesus love them and want them to be happy. May God forgive us and have mercy on us.

 HE DIED FOR US

"And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots."

Luke 23:33 34
King James Version

As we remember the brave men and women who died for our country, let us not forget to remember our Saviour Who died for every person in the world.

Thank You, dear Jesus for loving us unconditionally and for dying for us on the cross to pay the price for our sins, a price we could never have paid.

Rev. Barney E. Warren wrote the hymn "IT IS TRULY WONDERFUL". I love the words in this inspiring hymn. I'm so glad Jesus loves us so much He died for us.

"He pardoned my transgressions, He sanctified my soul, He honors my confessions, Since by His blood I’m whole. He keeps me every moment By trusting in His grace; ’Tis through His blest atonement, That I may see His face."

Have you invited Jesus into your heart to be your Saviour? If not, I urge you to do it right now even as you are reading this devotion. He suffered and died for you and all He asks is for you to trust Him and love Him.

 GIVE HIM PRAISE

"And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots."

Luke 23:33, 34
King James Version

Sarah Graham wrote a beautiful hymn. The name of the hymn is "It Was for Me". I am so thankful that Jesus loves us so much He died for our sins.

"On the cross of Calvary, Jesus died for you and me; There he shed his precious blood, That from sin we might be free. O the cleansing stream does flow, And it washes white as snow! It was for me that Jesus died On the cross of Calvary."

You might wonder why I include hymns in my devotions. It is because the Bible tells us to sing praises to our precious Saviour for Who He is and for what He has done for us. "Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing." Psalms 100:2

Thank You, Jesus, for everything. I love You and look forward to the day when I will have the privilege of seeing You.

 A DAY OF REJOICING

"Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven."

Acts 1:11
King James Version

One day our precious Saviour is coming back for us. What a day of rejoicing that will be. Thank You, dear Jesus, for dying for us and for all You have done for us. I love You so much and look forward to the joyous and happy day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

 NOT WORTHY

"He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose."

John 1:27
King James Version

We are not worthy yet Jesus loves us so much He allowed them to crucify Him on the cross for our sins. I have said this many times and I will keep saying it. No one loves us like Jesus loves us and no one ever will.

Ira F. Stanphill wrote one of my very favorite hymns "Unworthy" The words in this beautiful hymn are so true.

"Unworthy am I of the grace that He gave, Unworthy to hold to His hand; Amazed that a King would reach down to a slave, This love I cannot understand.

Unworthy, unworthy, a beggar; In bondage and alone; But He made me worthy and now by His grace, His mercy has made me His own."

I love You so much, dear Jesus. Thank You for loving me and for dying for me. One day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. What a day of happiness that is going to be.

 NO MORE

"And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more."

Hebrews 10:17
King James Version

Albert Mace and V. Kost wrote the inspiring and beautiful hymn "YOUR SINS ARE REMEMBERED NO MORE".

"We bring you a message of joy today: Your sins are remembered no more; For Jesus has taken them all away; Your sins are remembered no more."

Yes, when Jesus was crucified on the cross for you and for me all of our sins were taken away because of His redeeming blood and He will never hold them against us again. I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for loving me so much You died for my sins.

 OUR FAITHFUL FATHER

"God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord."

1 Corinthians 1:9
King James Version

One of my favorite hymns is "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" written by Thomas Chisholm. The words in this hymn are so true and tell us how wonderful our Heavenly Father is to us.

"Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father, there is no shadow of turning with thee. Thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not; as thou hast been, thou forever wilt be.

Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; all I have needed thy hand hath provided. Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide, strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!"

Our Heavenly Father is faithful to us. Are we faithful to Him? Have we told Him how much we love Him and appreciate all that He has done for us and all that He does for us every day. If not, we are hurting Him and breaking His heart.

I love You, Heavenly Father. Thank You for loving me when I was so unlovely. Thank You for adopting me into Your family and for the privilege You have given me to serve Your beloved Son.

 ARE WE WILLING

"Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you."

John 20:21
King James Version

Mary Brown wrote the hymn "I’LL GO WHERE YOU WANT ME TO GO" Do we mean what we are singing or are we just singing the words?.

"It may not be on the mountain’s height, Or over the stormy sea; It may not be at the battle’s front My Lord will have need of me; But if by a still, small voice He calls To paths I do not know, I’ll answer, dear Lord, with my hand in Thine, I’ll go where You want me to go.

I’ll go where You want me to go, dear Lord, O’er mountain, or plain, or sea; I’ll say what You want me to say, dear Lord, I’ll be what You want me to be."

May God help us to go where He wants us to go and be what He wants us to be.

 DON'T LISTEN

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"

1 Peter 5:8
King James Version

When I surrendered to the mission field several years ago when I lived in Texas, the pastor told me that satan would attack me in every way he can to discourage me and keep me from serving Jesus.

That pastor was so right. Last week for two days, satan attacked me and tried to convince me that God and Jesus do not love me and that I am not saved.

I knew better but when I am going through that attack, I am unable to tell anyone but Jesus. Our Saviour is so faithful. He picked me up in His loving arms and carried me until the pain went away.

Someone asked me why I write about the love of Jesus so much. It is because without Jesus there is no reason to get out of bed. This world is so evil, full of murders, rapes, cursing, drugs, unforgiveness and hatred.

How it must hurt and break our precious Saviour's heart when He sees the things we do and hears the things we say. It is time we stop hurting our Saviour and love others unconditionally as our loving Saviour has commanded us to love one another. (John 15:12)

May God help all of us to do things, go places and say encouraging and kind words to one another that make our precious Saviour happy. If ever someone deserves to be happy, it is Jesus! He is the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS". Please joim me in praising Jesus Who loves you so much He died for you.

 THIS MEANS EVERYONE

"For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God."

Romans 14:11
King James Version

Someone made the comment "I don't believe in God. If there is a God then He doesn't love me." I submit to you on the authority of the Bible that there is a God and He loves you so much He gave His beloved Son to die on the cross for your sins and for my sins.

One day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that we do have a tender loving and compassionate Heavenly Father and His beloved Son, Jesus, Who loves us so much He died for us and endured pain and agony that you and I will never know.

Frances Ridley Havergal wrote a hymn that asks a question that everyone of us has to anser "What shall I give Thee, Master?"

"What shall I give Thee, Master? Thou who didst die for me. Shall I give less of what I possess, Or shall I give all to Thee?

Jesus, my Lord and Savior; Thou hast giv'n all for me; Thou didst leave Thy home above To die on Calvary.

What shall I give Thee, Master? Thou hast giv'n all for me; Not just a part or half of my heart, I will give all to Thee."

Have you given everything you have to Jesus? It all belongs to Him anyway. He just gives us things and does things to make us happy and comfortable because He loves us unconditionally.

The most important thing in your life is serving Jesus. Are you serving Him? if not, you are hurting Him and breaking His heart. He has feelings too or He would never have left His home, His Father and all that He had to die on the cross for your sins and for my sins. I love You so much, dear Heavenly Father. Thank You for everything.

 GO TO JESUS

"But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."

John 4:14
King James Version

When you are hurting no matter if you're hurting emotionally, physically or financially, go to Jesus. He really loves you. He loves you so much He died for you.

Joseph Sabolick wrote an inspiring hymn about our precious Saviour "Come Just As You Are". I love the words in this hymn.

"Come just as you are hear the Spirit call Come just as you aer Come and see (come and see) Come receive (come receive) Come and live (come and live) forever

Chorus Life everlasting And strength for today Taste the Living Water And never thirst again."

So many times we try to do things without asking Jesus for help and then we wonder why we fail. Jesus has told us that we can't do anything without Him. I can't even get out of bed without Him.

We read in the Bible. "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." John 15:5

Stop trying to do things without Jesus. It will never work. Allow our loving Saviour to pick you up in His love, protective and compassionate arms. He will carry you until the pain goes away.

O how I love Jesus. He is the Joy of my heart and the reason i get out of bed when I am in pain. Thank You, Jesus, for all You have done for me. I love You so much.

 A NEW HEART

"A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh."

Ezekiel 36:26
King James Version

Have you allowed Jesus to save you and give you a new heart or are you still allowing bitterness, resentment, unforgiveness, hatred and jealousy to remain in your heart?

It's easier to blame our parents for the things we do than to point the finger of guilt at ourselves, isn't it? I used to blame my parents for everything until the day I heard Billy Graham say "Don't you blame your parents. There comes a time when we make the choice to do right or wrong".

How can we continue to allow bitterness, resentment, hatred and unforgiveness to remain in our heart when Jesus forgave us for our sins even while hanging on the cross with the blood flowing down His body?

I think there are times when we hurt Jesus and break His heart because we refuse to forgive others for hurting us. We can tell people we're sorry and mean it and they can tell us they forgive us but we might as well take a knife and plunge it deep into the person's heart because cruel words hurt just as much as if we stabbed the person.

One day all of us will stand before God and give an account of the way we treated Jesus. We need to remember that when we say and do mean things that hurt others we are also hurting Jesus.

Jesus tells us in the Bible. "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Matthew 25:40

If you are hurting Jesus, stop it! Jesus deserves our love and all of our time and everything we have. I love You, precious Saviour.

 OUR CAPTAIN

"And, behold, God himself is with us for our captain, and his priests with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight ye not against the LORD God of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper."

2 Chronicles 13:12
King James Version

Katharyn Bacon wrote a hymn of encouragement about our Saviour "ON TO VICTORY" What a healing balm it is to our weary battle scarred heart to know that Jesus not only leads us, He also helps us and encourages us.

"Hark! the bugle sounds To arms! To the battlefield now speed you, On to victr’y, soldiers on! Fear you not defeat or harms, Christ Himself will ever lead you, On to victr’y, soldiers on!"

Heavenly Father, we praise You and thank You for helping us. You are a tender loving Father. What a balm it is to our weary battle scared heart to know You will never hit us or kick us out of Heaven.

I love You so much, dear Father. Thank You for the privilege You have given me to serve Jesus by writing devotions these last twenty years. Thank You for opening Your heart to us and sending Your beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins.

I pray for every man, for every woman, for every boy and every girl who has not invited Jesus into their heart to be their Saviour. May today be the day they say yes to Jesus and open the door of their heart and let Him come in before it is too late. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

Don't miss out on spending eternity with Jesus. He allowed them to spit on Him, curse Him, mock Him, and nail Him to the cross with the blood flowing down His body because He loves you so much.

If you are reading this devotion, know that Jesus loves you. He loved you yesterday. He loves you today. He will love you tomorrow and for all eternity. Have you allowed it to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge how much He loves you?

 ALL DAY

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"

1 Peter 5:8
King James Version

It makes satan very angry when we serve Jesus and he will do all he can do to discourage us so much that we stop serving Jesus. We must not let that happen. We must stay on the battlefield for Jesus just as He stayed on the cross for us.

I had a very frustrating day and satan tried his best to discourage me so much that I give up and stop serving Jesus. However, Jesus has already defeated satan on the cross.

Ray Overholt wrote the beautiful, inspiring and heart touching hymn "TEN THOUSAND ANGELS". As you read the words in this hymn, allow it to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge how much Jesus loves you.

"They bound the hands of Jesus In the garden where He prayed They led Him thro' the streets in shame They spat upon the Savior So pure and free from sin They said crucify Him He's to blame.

He could have called ten thousand angels To destroy the world and set Him free He could have called ten thousand angels But He died alone for you and me."

What about you? Are you willing to shut off the television, get out of your comfort zone and tell everyone that Jesus loves them so much He died for them?

Jesus got out of His comfort zone. He left His Father, His home and all that He had to come to earth and die on the cross and pay the penalty for your sins and for my sins.

O how I love Jesus! He is the Joy of my heart and the reason I get out of bed when my arthritis and gout are hurting so much and write the devotions He lays on my heart to write.

One happy and joyous day I will have the privilege of seeing Him face to face. Are you going to see Him face to face?

 DO YOU LOVE HIM

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

Romans 8:28
King James Version

Jesus said "If ye love me, keep my commandments." John 14:`15. Do we love Him? Are we keeping His commandments? If we aren't, we are hurting Him and breaking His heart.

After all that our precious Saviour has done for us, He deserves to have first place in our heart, in our life, in our time and in everything we do.

I know that I have said this many times but as a pastor said "I'm going to keep preaching the same sermon until you get it."

Have you got it that Jesus loves you so much He died for you? If you are reading this devotion, know that He loves you today. He will love you tomorrow and He will love you forever.

 GOD PROTECTS US

"How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings."

Psalms 36:7
King James Version

Rev. William O. Cushing wrote one of my favorite hymns "UNDER HIS WINGS" I love these words. Thank God for His protection.

"Under His wings I am safely abiding, Though the night deepens and tempests are wild, Still I can trust Him; I know He will keep me, He has redeemed me, and I am His child.

Under His wings, what a refuge in sorrow! How the heart yearningly turns to His rest! Often when earth has no balm for my healing, There I find comfort, and there I am blessed."

 THE TRUTH

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

John 8:32
King James Version

What is the truth? The truth is God loves us so much He gave His beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins so we can have our sins forgiven and go to Heaven when we die.

Bill and Gloria Gaither wrote a beautiful and heart touching hymn "Because He Lives". The words in this hymn are so true and tell us once again how much we are loved by our Heavenly Father.

"God sent His son, they called Him Jesus; He came to love, heal and forgive; He lived and died to buy my pardon, An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives!

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow, Because He lives, all fear is gone; Because I know He holds the future, And life is worth the living, Just because He lives!

How sweet to hold a newborn baby, And feel the pride and joy he gives; But greater still the calm assurance: This child can face uncertain days because He Lives!

And then one day, I'll cross the river, I'll fight life's final war with pain; And then, as death gives way to victory, I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives!"

Thank You, Heavenly Father for loving us and for adopting us into Your family. Thank You, Jesus, for loving us so much that You allowed them to crucify You for our sins. I love You so much and appreciate all You have done for me.

"Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul. While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being."

Psalms 146:1, 2
King James Version

Are we praising Him or complaining? I think there are times when we treat our Heavenly Father and our precious Saviour like They are puppets. We put Them on a shelf and only take Them down when we need something.

 OUR SUNSHINE

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:16
King James Version

Eliza E. Hewitt wrote one of my favorite hymns "SUNSHINE IN MY SOUL" The words in this inspiring hymn are so true.

"There is sunshine in my soul today, More glorious and bright Than glows in any earthly sky, For Jesus is my light.

O there’s sunshine, blessèd sunshine, When the peaceful, happy moments roll; When Jesus shows His smiling face, There is sunshine in the soul.

There is music in my soul today, A carol to my king, And Jesus, listening, can hear The songs I cannot sing."

Sometimes I can't sing or express to Jesus how much I love Him and appreciate Him but Jesus listens with His heart and He knows what I can't put into words.

We have a tender loving Saviour Who loves you so much He died for you. I will keep telling you this until you allow it to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge.

 DO WE

"This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.'

John 15:12
King James Version

One of my favorite hymns is "I Love you with the love of the Lord". Can we honestly say that we love others with the love of the Lord?

"I love you with the love of the Lord. I love you with the love of the Lord; I see in you the glory of my King, And I love you with the love of the Lord."

Do others see and hear the love of Jesus in us or do they see and hear the hatred of satan in us?  May God have mercy on us if we are hurting Jesus and breaking His heart because we don't love as He has commanded us to love others.

 PLEASE OPEN THE DOOR

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

Revelation 3:20
King James Version

Jesus allowed them to crucify Him on the cross for our sins so we can be saved. Please open the door of your heart and let Him come in to your heart.

For some people, He has been knocking at the door of their heart for many years. After all Jesus did for us, He deserves to have first place in our heart, in our life, in our time and in everything we do.

One of my favorite hymns is "HAVE YOU ANY ROOM FOR JESUS?" The words in this hymn should make all of us search our heart to see if we have made room for Him.

"Have you any room for Jesus, He who bore your load of sin? As He knocks and asks admission, Sinners, will you let Him in?

Room for Jesus, King of Glory! Hasten now His Word obey; Swing the heart’s door widely open, Bid Him enter while you may.

Room for pleasure, room for business, But for Christ the Crucified, Not a place that He can enter, In the heart for which He died?"

If you have never asked God to forgive you for your sins and invited Jesus into your heart to be your personal Saviour, I urge you to do it now even as you read this devotion.

We don't know when Jesus is coming back for us but He is coming and we need to be ready. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

 OUR SAVIOUR'S MOTHER

"And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn."

Luke 2:7
King James Version

Today is Mother's Day and we will be giving our mother's gifts, taking them out to eat and spending the day with them.

My Mother went home to be with Jesus several years ago and I still miss her but one day I will see her in Heaven when God calls me home to be with Him for all eternity.

How the heart of our Saviour's mother was broken when there was no room for them when Jesus was born and as His mother saw Him hanging on the cross her heart must have been broken as tears ran down her face to see her Son being tortured, abused and nailed to the cross for something He had not done.

Ray Overholt wrote a hymn about how much our Saviour loves His mother, "Ten Thousand Angle". Jesus made sure His mother was taken care of even while He was hanging on the cross.

"When they nailed Him to the cross His mother stood near by He said "Woman, behold thy son" He cried, "I thirst for water" But they gave Him none to drink Then the sinful work of man was done."

Thank God that He loves us so much He gave us mothers to love and take care of us. Jesus, thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I love You so much.

 HAVE WE SAID THIS

"Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven."

Matthew 6:10
King James Version

Rev. Charles W. Naylor wrote the beautiful heart touching and inspiring hymn "MY HEART SAYS AMEN".

I love these words. "I have yielded myself to Thy service, And Thy presence my bosom doth fill; O my Savior, I haste to obey Thee, And my heart says amen to Thy will. Yes, my heart says amen to Thy will, Lord, And I know that Thou lovest me still, While I bow low in humble submission, And my heart says amen to Thy will."

Have we said amen to His will or do we just keep doing what we want to do? May God help us to do and say what makes Him happy and helps other people.

All of us need to encourage and help one another. We don't know what heartaches they have so we need to pray for, encourage and help one another. It will make Jesus happy.

William M. Golden wrote the hymn "A BEAUTIFUL LIFE". "Each day I’ll do a golden deed, By helping those who are in need, My life on earth is but a span, And so I’ll do the best I can, The best I can.

To be a child of God each day, My light must shine along the way; I’ll sing His praise while ages roll And strive to help some troubled soul, Some troubled soul."

Do we love others as the Bible tells us we should love them? If not, we are hurting Jesus and breaking His heart. He loves us so much He died for us so we should be willing to get out of our comfort zone and help others.

 STILL ABLE

"If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king."

Daniel 3:17
King James Version

William A. Ogden wrote one of my favorite hymns "HE IS ABLE TO DELIVER THEE". The words in this beautiful inspiring hymn are so true.

"Tis the grandest theme through the ages rung; ’Tis the grandest theme for a mortal tongue; ’Tis the grandest theme that the world e’er sung, Our God is able to deliver thee.

He is able to deliver thee, He is able to deliver thee; Though by sin oppressed, go to Him for rest; Our God is able to deliver thee."

Heavenly Father, we praise You and thank You for being a compassionate tender loving Father, What a healing balm it is to our weary battle scarred heart to know You will never hit us or kick us out of Heaven as some parents do to their children.

Thank You for opening Your heart of unconditional love to us and giving Your beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins. I pray for every man, for every woman, for every boy and every girl who has not invited Jesus into their heart to be their personal Saviour. May today be the day they say yes to Jesus. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 HAVE WE

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

Ephesians 2:10
King James Version

Will L. Thompson wrote the hymn "HAVE I DONE ANY GOOD?" Every one of us needs to answer this question.

"Have I done any good in the world today? Have I helped anyone in need? Have I cheered up the sad, And made someone feel glad? If not, I have failed indeed.

Has anyone’s burden been lighter today, Because I was willing to share? Have the sick and the weary Been helped on their way? When they needed my help, was I there?"

We read in the Bible that they helped one another. "They helped every one his neighbour; and every one said to his brother, Be of good courage. So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smootheth with the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It is ready for the sodering: and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved." Isaiah 41:6, 7

May God help us to get out of our comfort zone and help others just as Jesus left His Fahter, His home and all that He had to come to earth and die on the cross so we can be saved.

 IT IS A PRIVILEGE

"(A Psalm of praise.) Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations."

Psalms 100
King James Version

Are we serving Jesus with happiness and joy because we want to serve Him or are we serving Him just because we know we should?

It is a privilege to serve Jesus and we should thank God that He loves us so much He gave His beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins.

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me when I was so unlovely. Thank You for adopting me into Your family. I love You, Heavenly Father. I love You, Jesus. I love You, Holy Spirit. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen

 HE GIVES US JOY

"For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."

Psalms 30:5
King James Version

Rev. Barney E. Warren wrote "JOY UNSPEAKABLE". "I have found His grace is all complete, He supplieth ev’ry need; While I sit and learn at Jesus’ feet, I am free, yes, free indeed.

I have found the joy no tongue can tell, How its waves of glory roll! It is like a great o’erflowing well, Springing up within my soul.

It is joy unspeakable and full of glory, Full of glory, full of glory, It is joy unspeakable and full of glory, Oh, the half has never yet been told."

When we are hurting and going though dark valleys, our Saviour picks us up in His loving arms and carries us until the pain goes away. We can trust Jesus to not only be the best Friend we will ever have but also to never leave us, not even for one minute. I love You, dear Jesus.

 THANK YOU

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16

Heavenly Father, thank You for being a loving and caring Father. Thank You for adopting me into Your family. Thank You for the privilege You have given me to serve Your beloved Son. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
