 JESUS LOVES US AND CARES

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

1 Peter 5:7
King James Version

Rev. Frank Ellsworth Graeff wrote a beautiful hymn "DOES JESUS CARE?". The answer to that is yes He does. He cared enough to die on the cross for our sins and paid the price for something He had not done.

"Does Jesus care when my heart is pained Too deeply for mirth or song, As the burdens press, and the cares distress And the way grows weary and long?

Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief; When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Savior cares.

Does Jesus care when my way is dark With a nameless dread and fear? As the daylight fades into deep night shades, Does He care enough to be near?

Does Jesus care when I’ve tried and failed To resist some temptation strong; When for my deep grief there is no relief, Though my tears flow all the night long?

Does Jesus care when I’ve said goodbye To the dearest on earth to me, And my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks, Is it aught to Him? Does He see?"

It is a privilege just to say the precious Name of Jesus. O how I love You, dear Jesus. You are so wonderful, so caring and best of all You never leave us, not even for one minute. Thank You for everything You have done for me, especially for never leaving me.

Charles H. Gabriel wrote one of the most beautiful hymns ever written that praises our Saviour "I STAND AMAZED in the PRESENCE"

"I stand amazed in the presence Of Jesus the Nazarene, And wonder how He could love me, A sinner, condemned, unclean.

For me it was in the garden He prayed, “Not My will but Thine;” He had no tears for His own griefs, But sweat drops of blood for mine.

He took my sins and my sorrows, He made them His very own; He bore the burden on Calv’ry, And suffered and died alone".

Not only did Jesus die alone on the cross for your sins and for my sins, when He was praying in the garden, He asked the ones with Him to watch and pray with Him and they fell asleep. (Matthew 26:38).

How that must have hurt Him! Our Saviour has done more for us than is possible to put into words. Jesus loves you. Do you love Him? If so, what are you doing to prove you love Him? We can say ahything but Jesus can see in our heart and He knows if we love Him. May God have mercy on us if we are hurting His beloved Son.

 OUR LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS

"Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."

John 8:12
King James Version

Hurricane Season is starting in a few days. None of us want to be in a hurricane but we have hurricanes all year long. Therre are hurricanes of murders, rapes, stabbings, spouses beating their mates and all of these hurt our precious Saviour and breaks His heart.

Jesus tells us in the Bible. "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10

Thank You, Heavenly Father for sending Your beloved Son to be our Light in a world filled with darkness and all other things that hurt You and break Your heart. We love You and appreciate all You do for us.

 TELL JESUS

"And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me."

Psalms 50:15
King James Version

It doesn't matter how many heartaches we have or how many burdens we are bearing, Jesus is with us to comfort, encourage and help us.

Jesus tells us in the Bible "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10

I haven't been feeling well for the last few days. I've been discouraged and wanting to go to bed and stay there. However, I told Jesus how I am hurting, emotionally and physically and I felt His arms of love and compassion go around me.

I have said this countless times and I will keep saying it until God calls me home to Heaven. No one loves us like Jesus loves us and no one ever will. His love for us is a giving love and is an unconditional love.

Jesus, when I think about You loving me so much You died on the cross for my sins, my heart is made to rejoice because You love me so much. I don't deserve Your love because before You saved me and gave me a new heart, I hated everybody and was afraid of everyone and didn't trust anybody.

You are so precious to me, dear Jesus and I love You with all my heart and look forward to the happy joyous day when I will have the privilege to see You face to face.

Are you going to see Jesus? If you have never admitted you are a sinner, asked God to forgive you and invited Jesus in your heart, please do it now even as you read this devotion. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

 TELL JESUS

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:"

Isaiah 55:6
King James Version

When we serve Jesus, it makes satan very angry and he will do all he can do to discourage us so much that we stop serving Jesus. We must not let that happen.   We must stay on the battlefield for Jesus just as He stayed on the cross for us.

Ralph Carmichael wrote one of my favorite hymns "Reach Out To Jesus". If ever we needed to reach out to Jesus, it is now! This world is filled with hatred, violence, murders, rapes and all other things which hurt Jesus and break His heart. I'm so glad we can reach out to Jesus.

"Is your burden heavy As you bear it all alone Does the road you travel Harbor danger yet unknown Are you growing weary In the struggle of it all Jesus will help you When on His name you call

Is the life you're living Filled with sorrow and despair Does the future press you With its worry and its care Are you tired and friendless Have you almost lost your way Jesus will help you Just come to Him today."

Jesus loves us so much He died on the cross for us. He was beaten beyond recognition, cursed, ridiculed, spat on and died alone for you and for me. I have said this countless times, nobody loves us like Jesus loves us and nobody ever will.Thank You, Jesus, for loving me and coming to me when I couldn't go to You. I love You so much, dear Jesus and one happy joyous day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

Heavenly Father, I pray for evrey man, every woman, every boy and every girl who has not invited Jesus into their heart to be their Saviour. May today be the day they ask God to forgive them for their sins and invite Jesus to come in to their heart.

Jesus is the greatest Friend we will ever have. He will never leave us, not even for one minute. When we are sad, brokenhearted and hurting, Jesus will pick us up in Hie arms of love and carry us until the pain goes away and will set us once again on the mountain top of happiness. ,What a Saviour! What a Friend! What a privilege is mine to serve the One Who loves me so much He allowed them to crucify Him on the cross for something He had not done.Have you allowed it to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge that Jesus, the Saviour of the world, loves you and cares when you are hurting or sad? Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

 JESUS CARES

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

John 10:10
King James Version

If you're hurting physically or emotionally, tell Jesus. Our Saviour cares when we are hurting. Jesus wants us to have a life filled with joy, peace and laughter.

John W. Peterson wrote the beautiful and inspiring hymn "No One UnderstandS Like Jesus". It is true no one understands like Jesus does because He can see in our heart and He knows what we can't share with others and He cares.

If you are hurting today, tell Jesus. He will pick you up in His loving arms and will carry you until the pain goes away. He will set you once again on the mountain top of happiness.

I love You, Jesus. Thank You for caring and for understanding the hurt and pain I have been going through for the last few days. I look forward to the day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

Jesus cares about us. He proved how much He loves us when He died on the cross for our sins. What are we doing to prove to Him that we love Him? It's easy to tell someone we care but actions speak louder than words.

 JESUS CARES

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

1 Peter 5:7
King James Version

Jesus loves us and cares about us or He would never have allowed them to beat Him beyond recognition, spit o Him, curse Him and crucify Him on the cross for something He had not done.

Our loving precious Saviour never did anything wrong yet He was beaten and abused more than anyone has ever been or ever will be beaten.

What brings tears to my eyes every time I think about Jesus being crucified on the cross for your sins and for my sins is that He didn't have to stay on the cross and suffer all that pain.

Ray Overholt wrote a hymn about our precious Saviour that always brings tears to my eyes when I sing it or hear someone sing it "TEN THOUSAND ANGELS". Have you allowed it to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge how much Jesus loves you?

"They bound the hands of Jesus In the garden where He prayed They led Him thro' the streets in shame They spat upon the Savior So pure and free from sin They said crucify Him He's to blame

He could have called ten thousand angels To destroy the world and set Him free He could have called ten thousand angels But He died alone for you and me

Upon His precious head They placed a crown of thorns They laughed and said behold the King They struck Him and they cursed Him And mocked His holy name All alone He suffered ev'rything

When they nailed Him to the cross His mother stood nearby He said woman behold thy Son He cried I thirst for water But they gave Him none to drink Then the sinful work of man was done

To the howling mob He yielded He did not for mercy cry The cross of shame He took alone And when He cried it's finished He gave Himself to die Salvation's wondrous plan was done."

There was a time in my life when I believed no one cared if I lived or died and I hated everybody and didn't trust anyone. Then one happy day, Jesus put His arms of protection and love around me and lifted me up from under the bed in the hospital where I had crawled because I was afriaid of everyone and everything, told me He loved me and wouldn't let anyone hurt me again.

Thank You, Jesus, for loving me, for dying for my sins and for caring about me even when I sometimes do things that hurt You. Please help me to always love unconditionally as You have commanded us to love others. I love You so much. Thank You for never leaving me.

 STOP IT

“From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?”

James 4:1
King James Version

It hurts Jesus and breaks His heart when we argue and fight. Jesus tells us this in the Bible. "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" John 10:10

We need to stop hurting Jesus. He walked that long lonely road to Calvary and allowed them to beat Him beyond recognition, curse Him, spit on Him and crucify Him on the cross for something He had not done.

What kind of love is this? This is an unconditional love that can only come from the heart of our precious Saviour. I've said this many times and I will keep saying it until God calls me home to Heaven. No one loves you like Jesus loves you and no one ever will.

What a privilege it is to be loved by the Saviour of the world. O how He loves us!
Jesus, when I think of all You have done for me, especially for coming to ne when I couldn't go to You, it feels like my heart is going to explode with happiness. Knowing that You love me enough to come to me when I couldn't go to You brings tears of happiness to me.

Squire Parsons wrote one of the most beautiful, inspiring and heart touching hymns I have ever heard "He Came to Me". To know that Jesus came to me when I couldn't go to Him is enough to make me shout with happiness.

“The gulf that separated me from Christ, my Lord, It was so vast the crossing I could never ford; From where I was to His domain, it seemed so far, I cried, "Dear Lord, I cannot come to where you are.”

He came to me, O, He came to me. When I could not come to where He was, He came to me. That's why He died on Calvary, When I could not come to where He was, He came to me.

He came to me when I was bound in chains of sin, He came to me when I possessed no hope within, He picked me up and He drew me gently to His side, Where, today, in His sweet love I now abide.

He came to me, O, He came to me. When I could not come to where He was, He came to me. That's why He died on Calvary, When I could not come to where He was, He came to me.

Yes, He came to me, O, He came to me. When I could not come to where He was, He came to me. That's why He died on Calvary, When I could not come to where He was, He came to me. When I could not come to where He was, He came to me."

Have you allowed Jesus to come to You? He has been knocking at the door of hearts for many years and they have refused to open the door of their heart and let Him in.
Please don't keep hurting Him. Say yes to Jesus even as you read this devotion. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

One day every one of us will stand before God and give an account of the way we treated His beloved Son. I don't know about you but I don't want to have to hang my head in shame because I hurt Jesus. I love You so much Jesus. Thank You for everything.

 PRAISE HIM

“Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.”

Psalms 29:2
King James Version

Please lift your voice and join me in praising our Saviour. He is the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS"! Worthy is the Lamb of God!

I have been asked to leave a choir because I was told I was singing off key. It broke my heart when I had to leave the choir. However, one happy day when God calls me home to Heaven, I will sing in Heaven's choir.

I have been asked several times why I write about Jesus so much. It is because I love Him with all my heart and one joyous happy day I will have the privilege of seeing Him face to face.

If you don't know Jesus, If you have never admitted you are a sinner, asked God to forgive you for your sins and invited Jesus into your heart to be your Saviour, please do it even as you read this devotion. Don't miss out on spending eternity with Jesus!

One day it will be too late to say yes to Jesus. Your family and friends love you but they can't do it for you. Salvation is personal between you and Jesus.

We read in the Bible "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20

Heavenly Father, I pray for every man, every woman, every boy and every girl who has not given their heart and life to Jesus. May today be the day they say "yes" to Jesus.

I pray for every pastor who is preaching the good news of our risen Saviour. I pray especially for my beloved Pastor, Pastor Davis.

Heavenly Father, Please encourage my Pastor, protect him and strengthen him. I pray in Jesus' Name, Amen.

I love you, Pastor. Thank you for the privilege you have given me to be in your church and to have you not only as my Pastor but also as a loved, trusted and close friend.

Thank you, Pastor Davis for the many prayers you have prayed for me and for caring when I was hurting physically and emotionally.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the privilege You have given me to serve Jesus. I pray for every man, every woman, every boy and every girl who has not opened the door of their heart and let Jesus come in to be their Saviour. May today be the day they say yes to Jesus.

Precious Saviour, how I love You. You are the Joy of my heart and the reason I am living. You cane to me when I couldn't go to You. Thank You for dying on the cross and paying the price for my sins, a price I could never have paid.

Jesus, knowing I am going to see You one day face to face fills me with so much joy and happiness, I feel like I am going to explode. Thank You again from the bottom of my heart for caring for me, for dying for me and especially for never leaving me.

 THE TABLE OF LOVE

“Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.”

John 21:12
King James Version

Charles B. Widmeyer wrote a beautiful hymn about our loving Saviour "COME AND DINE". I'm so glad Jesus has spread a table of love for us.

"Jesus has a table spread Where the saints of God are fed, He invites His chosen people, Come and dine; With His manna He doth feed And supplies our every need: O ’tis sweet to sup with Jesus all the time!

Come and dine, the Master calleth, Come and dine; You may feast at Jesus’ table all the time; He who fed the multitude, Turned the water into wine, To the hungry calleth now, Come and dine."

If you're hungry for the love of Jesus, go to Him and ask Him to comfort, love and encourage you. He will be faithful to pick you up in His loving arns, comfort and encourage you.

I love You, Jesus. Thank You for all You have done for me and for all You do for me every day.

 TELL JESUS

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28
King James Version

If you're sad and discouraged and feel like giving up and going to bed and staying there, tell Jesus. Our Saviour loves us unconditionaly and it hurts Him and breaks His heart when we are huring.

Jesus knows how it feels to have a broken heart because His heart was broken on Calvary. What a privilege it is to be loved by the Saviour of the world. I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for all You do for me.

 DON'T FORGET JESUS

"And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots."

Luke 23:33, 34
King James Version

When we are remembering the brave men and women who gave their lives for their county, let us also remember Jesus Who gave His life for every person in the world.

I had the privilege to hear my last pastor preaching on the television this aftern00n. As I listened to him preach, it remeind me of the mission trip I took several years ago when I lived in Texas.

The pastor sent us on the mission trip and we went from church to church telling others about the Love of Jesus to raise money to go.

The day we went on the mission trip to Arizona the pastor prayed for our protection and for us to win souls to Jesus.

I was so excited to be part of the mission trip. However, on the night of our first night there I went to the mission leader's room and asked him what time we had devotions.

He replied and said "We are too busy and too tired to have devotions". As soon as he said that, I called the pastor who had sent us on the mission trip and told him what the mission leader had saif about having devotions.

The pastor replied "The church will send you the money to come home because the reason the church raised all that money and sent you on the mission trip is because we wanted to to tell people about Jesus."

I submit to you on the authority of the Word of God that there is nobody or nothing as important as spreading the good news of our risend Saviour.

Many years ago as I was going door to door on visitation night for my church, I went to this house. It was a big and beautiful house. I asked the lady "If you knew God was telling you to sell your house and give the money to missions, would you do it?"

The lady didn't hesitate, she said "No,  I wouldn't. I've worked hard and long for everything I have and it is mine."

How that must have hurt Jesus and broke His heart. May God have mercy on us and forgive us if we hurt His beloved Son.
God may never ask us to do something that requires a sacrifice but if He does are we willing to do it?

When Jesus left His Father, His home and all that He had to come to earth and die on the cross for our sins, God didn't make Him come. Jesus came because He loves His Father and He loves us.

I have said this many times and as a preacher once said when he was asked why he kept preachng the same thing, the preacher replied, "I'm going to keep preaching it until you get it".

Have you got it yet? Have you allowed it to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge that Jesus loves you so much that He allowed them to spit on Him, curse Him, mock Him and crucify Him on the cross for somehting He had not done?

We know Jesus loves us. He proved His unconditional love for us when He died on the cross for us. What are we doing to prove to Him that we love Him? One day we will stand beore our Heavenly Father and give an account of how we treated His Son. Will we be able to look Him in the eyes or will we have to hang our head in shame because we hurt His beloved Son?

 GOD'S WOODSHED

“For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.”

Hebrews 12:6
King James Version

Years ago when I worked in the nursing homes, I heard two of the residents say when they were children and did something wrong, their parents would talke them out to the woodshed and spank them.

If you have ever been out to God's woodshed as I have, you know it hurts but the thing that hurt me the most was I hurt Jesus and broke His heart. Our precious Saviour tells us in the Bible that we are to love one another as He loves us.

"This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you." Can we honestly say that we always love others unconditionally? I can't. I get upset when someone hurts me and sometimes yell at the person and it hurts Jesus and breaks His heart.

May God help us to love one another as Jesus has commanded us to love so we won't hurt Jesus and break His heart. I love You, dear Jesus and I look forward to being in Heaven with You for all eternity.

 ARE YOU READY

"Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come."

Matthew 24:42
King James Version

Jesus can come back for us even as I write this devotion. We need to be ready for His coming. He bled and died on the cross and endured an agony and pain that you and I will never know.

Have you allowed it to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge that Jesus loves you so much He walked that long lonely road to Calvary and allowed them to spit on Him, beat Him and nail Him to the cross?

If you ever think nobody loves you, remember Jesus left His Father, His home and all that He had to come to earth and die on the cross for our sins.

I have said this many times and I will keep saying it until God calls me home to Heaven. No one loves you like Jesus loves you and nobody ever will. His love for us is unconditional and umending. O how I love Jesus!
Precious Jesus, every time I think about You comeing to me when I was laying under the bed in a mental hospital because I didn't think I had a right to live, I get tears in my eyes and I feel so loved, wanted and protected.

One of the most beautiful hymns I have erer heard was written by Squire Parsons. I dedicate this inspiring hymn to my precious Saviour "He Came to Me".

"The gulf that separated me from Christ, my Lord, It was so vast the crossing I could never ford; From where I was to His domain, it seemed so far, I cried, "Dear Lord, I cannot come to where you are."

That's why He died on Calvary,
When I could not come to where He was, He came to me.

Yes, He came to me, O, He came to me.
When I could not come to where He was, He came to me. That's why He died on Calvary,
When I could not come to where He was, He came to me. When I could not come to where He was, He came to me."

If you have never admitted you are a sinner, asked God to forgive you and invited Jesus in your heart to be yuur Saviour, please do it even as you read this devotion. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

 OUR ROCK AND OUR HOPE

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Rev. Edward Mote wrote a beautiful hymn. It is one of my favorites "MY HOPE IS BUILT THE SOLID ROCK". i'm so glad to know that Jesus is our Rock of protection.

"My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly trust in Jesus’ name.

On Christ the solid rock I stand, All other ground is sinking sand; All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness seems to hide His face, I rest on His unchanging grace. In every high and stormy gale, My anchor holds within the veil.
His oath, His covenant, His blood, Support me in the whelming flood.  When all around my soul gives way, He then is all my hope and stay.

When He shall come with trumpet sound, Oh may I then in Him be found. Dressed in His righteousness alone, Faultless to stand before the throne."

We can depend on Jesus to never leave us and to protect us from all harm. If you have never invited Jesus into your heart to be your Saviour, I urge you to do it even as you read this devotion. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

WE CAN TRUST JESUS

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

1 Peter 5:7

King James Version

Edgar Page wrotea beautiful hymn about our precious Saviour  "Trusting Jesus". Are we trusting Jesus or are we trying t do things by ourself?

"Simply trusting every day, Trusting through a stormy way; Even when my faith is small, Trusting Jesus, that is all.

Trusting as the moments fly, Trusting as the days go by; Trusting Him whate’er befall, Trusting Jesus, that is all."

I still have a problem trusting people because I have trusted people before and I got hurt. Now, before I make friends with anyone I ask Jesus what He thinks, if it is okay to trust this person.

It only takes one person to lead you astray. Please ask Jesus before you open your heart to anyone. Jesus will never lead us astray. Thank You, precious Saviour for caring and for Your protection. One happy joyous day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

We read in the Bible "And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."  Is our Heavenly Father please with us?

What brings tears of happiness to my eyes is to know that one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord!

When a man and woman get married, everyone stands up in honor of the bride as she walks down the aisle. When Jesus comes back for us, every knee wil bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord.

It brings tears of joy to me to know that one day Jesus will finally get the praise that He deserves. I have said this many times and I will keep saying it until God calls me home to Heaven. No one loves you like Jesus loves you and no one ever will.

 NO WORDS

"The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee."

Jeremiah 31:3
King James Version

Squire Parsons sings one of the most inspiring and heart touching hymns I have ever heard "He Came to Me". I think this beautiful hymn should be sung every Sunday to remind us that Jesus is always with us and He will always love us even when we sometimes fail HIim and hurt Him.

"The gulf that separated me from Christ, my Lord, It was so vast the crossing I could never ford; From where I was to His domain, it seemed so far, I cried, "Dear Lord, I cannot come to where you are."

We read in the Bible "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen." John 21:25

I can't tell you everything that my sister and my best friend has done for me. There are no words to express how much I love them and how I appreciate them. If I can't even express how much I love them, it is impossible to tell you how much I love Jesus.

I love You so much, dear Jesus. You not only saved me, You also gave me a new heart filled with love. You arso precious, Jesus. One happy joyous day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

I am going to give You a big hug and spend all eternity telling You how wonderful You are. Thank You for all You have done for me and for all You do for me every day, especially thank You for never leaving me.

 ARE WE DOING IT

"I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth."

Psalms 34:1
King James Version

Fanny Crosby wrote one of my favorite hymns "PRAISE HIM, PRAISE HIM". Are we doing it every day or do we just do it when things are going our way?

Jesus deserves to be praised all the time. If you can't think of something to praise Him for, you can praise Him for dying for your sins on the cross.

"Praise Him, praise Him— Jesus, our blessèd Redeemer, Sing, O earth, His wonderful love proclaim. Hail Him! hail Him! highest archangels in glory; Strength and honor give to His holy name!

Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard His children, In His arms He carries them all day long: O ye saints that dwell on the mountain of Zion, Praise Him, praise Him ever in joyful song.

Praise Him, praise Him— Jesus, our blessèd Redeemer, For our sins He suffered, and bled, and died; He our rock, our hope of eternal salvation, Hail Him, hail Him, Jesus the Crucified."

I will never understand how people can cheer for their favorite sports team but don't cheer for Jesus. If ever someone deserves to be cheered and praised, it is Jesus!

He is the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS"! Worthy is the Lamb of God! Are you cheering for Jesus and praising Him? If not, you are hurting Him and breadking His heart.

When is the last time you told Jesus that you love Him? Have you ever told Him? Jesus has feelings too and He wanst us to tell Him that we love Him.

Jesus walked that long lonely road to Calvary and died on the cross for us. I have had the privilege of writing daily devotions for oever twenty years. I can't put into words how happy I have been to serve Jesus all these years.

What a Saviour! What a Friend, this Jesus of Nazareth! One happy joyous day I will have the privileg of seeing Him face to face when God calls me home to Heaven.

I love You so much, Jesus. Thank You for everything You have done for me, especially for never leaving me.

A VERY SPECIAL MOTHER

“When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.”

John 19:26,27
King James Version

Even while Jesus was hanging on the cross with the blood flowing down His precious body and in pain that you and I will never know, He wanted to make sure someone would take care of His mother.

What kind of love is this that Jesus would think about anyone or anything while in such pain and agony? It is a love that can only come from the heart of our Saviour.

I have said this many times and I will keep saying it until God calls me home to Heaven. No one loves us like Jesus loves us and no one ever will.

I have a very special Mother. It is not my Mom who gave birth to me as she died several years ago on Christmas Day.

However, God knew I needed a mother to guide me and protect me so He trusted my beloved sister to be a mother to me.
Someone said "It's only natural for sisters and brothers to fight". That is a lie straight from the pits of hell. Jesus wants us to love one another unconditionally.

My precious sister has been more than a sister and a mother firgure to me, she has comforted me, encouraged me, and protected me. How I praise God and thank Him for my beloved sister.

For those of you who have been on my mailing list a long time, you know that I went through a crippling depression for over twenty years. God used to my sister to comfort me, guide me and protect me. How I love my sister!!!

My sister opened her home to Mom and Dad when they were sick and couldn't live alone any more. She opened her home to me. I was in the hospital off and on for several years, she took me into her home and did her best to encourage me.

I remember one time we had gone shopping and I was still afraid of everyone and everything. After hearing I was no good, fat and ugly and had no right to live, I began to believe I didn't have a right to live and I tried to take my life sevral times.

While my sister and I were in the department store and she was looking at clothes, I followed her every move. When she walked around the clothes rack, I followed her no matter where she went.

Thank God for a sister who cares enough to open her heart and her home. She has moved and I don't get to see her but one happy day I will meet her in Heaven. I love you and appreciate all you have done for me, my beloved sister.

If you know a mother who has lost a child, it doesn't matter how old or how young the mother is, go see her or call her. I promise you that her heart is breaking and she is huring a lot.

Heavenly Father, thank You for giving my sister to me, not only as a sister, but also as a comforter and an encourrage. I love you, Rosa, and thank God for you.

 HE IS STILL CALLING

"Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me."

Isaih 6:8
King James Version

Rev. Alfred Henry Ackley wrote one of my favorite hymns "IN THE SERVICE OF THE KING". I have worked for several employers and I can tell you that working for Jesus brings a happiness that is impossible to put into words.

"I am happy in the service of the King. I am happy, O so happy! I have peace and joy that nothing else can bring, In the service of the King.

In the service of the King Every talent I will bring. I have peace and joy and blessing In the service of the King."

Several years ago when I lived in Texas, I had the privilege of being captain of one of the church buses. We went every Wednesday night on visitation for the church.

I always visited the children that rode on my bus. I will never forget the time that I visited this seven year old girl and her family and invited them to come to church on Sunday.
They told me they would come and then the little girl said and did something that I will never forget.

She said to her parents "Please go with me Sunday to church. I gave my heart to Jesus in Sunday school last week and I want you to go to Heaven with me".

I sat there with tears running down my face as this precious little girl not only invited them to church, she also asked them if they wanted Jesus in their heart.

The parents looked at one another then put their arms around their little girl and said "Yes, will you tell us what we need to do"? Their little girl with tears running down her cheecks said "Just tell Jesus thank You for dying for me and I'm sorry I hurt You. Please come into my heart".

I watched and listened as this precious Mom and Dad were saved and one day will go to Heaven to be with Jesus.

Even now as I am typing this devotion, I have so many tears in my eyes I can barely see to type this devotion. O how Jesus loves children.

I had the privilege of leading one of my nephews to ask Jesus to come into his heart and save him wheh he was younger.
I will never forget that day.

What a priilege it is and what happiness it brings to be able to serve Jesus. When I surrendered to the mission field after the pastor had said a beautiful prayer for me, he told me "Don't wait until God tells you what He wants you to do. Start telling everyone you see that Jesus loves them".

This happiness I have had these last twenty seven years that I have had the privilege of serving Jesus have been the happiness and joyous time of my life.

I dearly love my family and my Pastor and God has given me a vey special best friend but none of them gives me the happiness, peace and joy that my precious Saviour gives me.

Heavely Father, I love You so much. Thank You for loving me when I was so unlovely. Jesus, thank You for coming to me when I couldn't go to You.

Squire Parsons wrote one of the most beautiful hymns ever written about our Saviour "HE CAME TO ME". I'm so glad He loved me enough to come to me.

"The gulf that separated me from Christ, my Lord It was so vast, the crossing I could never ford From where I was to His domain, it seemed so far I cried "Dear Lord, I cannot come to where You are"

He came to me, He came to me When I could not come to where He was, He came to me That's why He died on Calvary When I could not come to where He was, He came to me

He came to me when I was bound in chains of my sin He came to me when I could find no hope within He reached down and drew me gently to His side Where today in His sweet love I now abide."

Heavenly Fahter, I pray for every man, every woman, every boy and every girl who has not given their heart and life to Jesus. May today be the day they open their heart to Jesus and let Him in. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
