 WHAT ABOUT JESUS

"Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works."

1 Chronicles 16:8, 9
King James Version

Several years ago, I listened as a lady talked about her children and family and bragged on them. I listened to her for over an hour. Not one time, did she brag about Jesus and all He has done for us. How that must have hurt Jesus.

I think we sometimes forget that Jesus has feelings too. It hurts Him when we only give Him a little time during the day.
Someone said "I am too busy and don't have time to read my Bible and pray in the morning.

If we have time to watch the news in the morning and read the newspaper, we can make time for Jesus.

There are people who will get up early in the morning to go on vacation, yet these same people say they don't have time for Jesus. One day everyone of us will stand before God and give an account of the way we treated Jesus. It hurts our Heavenly Father when we ignore His beloved Son.

We read in the Bible "And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Matthew 3:16, 17

There is a hymn that breaks my heart every time I hear it or sing it to know how we hurt Jesus by the way we treat Him. I think there are times when we treat Him like a puppet. We put Him on a shelf and only take Him down when we need or want something.

John Willard Peterson wrote the hymn "No Room". Jesus made room for us in His heart when He walked that long lonely road to Calvary and allowed them to crucify Him on the cross for something He had not done.

"No room, only a manger of hay, No room, He is a stranger today, No room, here in His world turned away, No room, no room;

No room, here in the hearts of mankind, No room, no cheery welcome could find, No room, surely the world is blind, No room.

Angels, in heaven up yonder, Watch with amazement and wonder To see the Son of the Highest treated so!

No room, only a manger of hay, No room, He is a stranger today, No room, here in His world turned away, No room, no room, no room."

If you haven't made room for Jesus in your heart and life, I urge you to do it now! Don't miss out on spending eternity with our precious loving Saviour.

I love You so much, Jesus. One happy joyous day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. I am going to give You a big hug and spend all eternity telling You how wonderful You are and how much I love and appreciate You. Thank You for coming to me when I couldn't go to You.
