WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH JESUS

"For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace."

Romans 6:14
King James Version

If Jesus doesn't come back for us today, we will start a new year, a year in which we can serve Jesus. What will you do with Jesus this year? Will you give Him first place in your heart, in your time, in your life and in everything you do?

Does Jesus have first place in your heart, in your life and in everything you do? If He doesn't, why doesn't He? After all that Jesus has done for us including dying on the cross for us, He deserves to have first place.

Every one of us has to answer this question. What is your answer? Are you going to give Him first place in your heart, in our time, in your life and in everything you do? If you don't, you are hurting Him and breaking His heart.

One day every one of us will stand before our Heavenly Father and give an account of how we treated His beloved Son. I don't know about you but I don't want to have to hang my head in shame because I hurt Jesus.

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us so much You gave Your beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins. I love You, Heavenly Father. I love You, Jesus. I love You, Holy Spirit.

Dear Father, thank You for the privilege You have given me to serve Your Son these last twenty years. I'm so glad I'm a part of Your family.

Gloria and Bill Gaither wrote a beautiful heart touching hymn about our Heavenly Father "The Family of God". I love the words in this beautiful hymn.

"I’m so glad I’m a part of the Family of God, I’ve been washed in the fountain, Cleansed by His blood, Joint heirs with Jesus As we travel this sod, I’m so glad I’m a part Of the family of God."

Are you a part of the family of God? Have you asked God to forgive you for your sins and invited Jesus into your heart to be your personal Saviour? If not, I urge you to do it even while you are reading this devotion. Don't put it off as Jesus can come back for us even while you are reading this. Say yes to Jesus. Don't keep breaking His heart.

 THE MOST EXPENSIVE GIFT

"For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."

1 Corinthians 6:20
King James Version

The most expensive gift ever given to us was when Jesus was crucified on the cross for your sins and for my sins.

There has never been a more expensive gift and there will never be a more expensive gift than the cleansing atoning blood that Jesus shed for your sins and for my sins on the cross.

No one loves us like our Heavenly Father and our precious Saviour love us. Their love is unconditional and will never end. They loved us yesterday. They love us today and They will love us tomorrow and forever.

After all that our precious Saviour has done for us, we should serve Him. Are you serving Jesus? Does He come first in your heart, in your life, in your time and in everything you do?

Someone said "I am too busy to talk to Jesus". If you are too busy to spend time with our precious Saviour, you are too busy and you need to rearrange your schedule so that Jesus comes first.

If you have time to read the newspaper in the morning or drink coffee before you go to work, then you can make time for Jesus.

May God have mercy on us and forgive us if we are not putting Jesus first in our heart, in our time, in our life and in everything we do. One day all of us will stand before a Holy God and give an account of how we treated His beloved Son.

 GOD CAN DO ANYTHING

"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:"

2 Corinthians 9:8
King James Version

It doesn't matter what we need, our Heavenly Father will take care of us. We may sometimes have trouble trusting people but we can always trust God to take care of us.

Civilla D. Martin wrote the beautiful hymn "God Will Take Care of You". Our Heavenly Father will take care of us. There are times when satan tries to discourage us by telling us that God doesn't care.

However, satan is a liar and God does care and He will always care about us. If our Heavenly Father didn't love us unconditionally and care about us, He would never have given His beloved Son to die on the cross for your sins and for my sins.

Thank You, Heavenly Father, for loving me when I was so unlovely. Thank You for adopting me into Your family.

Precious Father, please comfort and encourage all who are hurting physically or emotionally. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 JESUS REALLY LOVES US

"For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."

Psalms 30:5
King James Version

When we do things Jesus has told us not to do or go places where He does not want us to go, it hurts Him. However, we have a loving and forgiving Saviour.

All we have to do is tell Him we're sorry and our relationship with Him is restored. Just because I write devotions does not mean I'm perfect. I get upset at times when someone says or does something to hurt me and I have to tell God that I'm sorry and ask Him to forgive me.

What a privilege is ours to be loved by the Saviour of the world and by our Heavenly Father. I love You, Heavenly Father. I love You, Jesus. I love You, Holy Spirit. Thank You for all You have done for me.

 OUR BEST FRIEND

"When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!"

John 11:33-36
King James Version

John Peterson wrote the beautiful and heart touching inspiring hymn "NO ONE UNDERSTANDS LIKE JESUS" I believe he wrote this hymn from his heart. The words in this hymn are true because no one does understand like Jesus understands when our heart is breaking.

"No one understands like Jesus. He's a friend beyond compare; Meet Him at the throne of mercy; He is waiting for you there.

No one understands like Jesus; Ev'ry woe He sees and feels; Tenderly He whispers comfort, And the broken heart He heals.

No one understands like Jesus When the foes of life assail; You should never be discouraged; Jesus cares and will not fail!"

It is true. No one does understand like Jesus understands. My sister is in the hospital and it is breaking my heart as we are very close. When the tears start to fall, I ask Jesus to help me and take the pain away and He does.

Jesus really cares when we are hurting. When we cry, He cries with us and when we are happy, He rejoices with us. Jesus is the best Friend we will ever have and He will never leave us, not even for one minute.

I love You, dear Jesus and I appreciate all You have done for me.

 A DAY OF LOVE

"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."

Luke 2:11
King James Version

When Jesus was born, it was a day of love, unconditional love for you and for me. God knew His Son would be beaten beyond recognition, spat on, cursed, mocked and hung on the cross with the blood flowing down His precious body for you and for me.

What kind of love is this? This is an unconditional love that only comes from the heart of our Heavenly Father and from our precious Saviour. If you ever doubt you are loved, remember the cross and all the pain, agony and torture Jesus endured because He loves you.

Heavenly Father, I love You. Jesus, I love You. Thank You for loving me when I was so unlovely. One happy joyous day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face, dear Jesus. I'm going to give You a big hug and spend all eternity trying to tell You how much I love You.

 ARMS OF LOVE

"The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee."

Jeremiah 31:3
King James Version

When I go to bed at night or take a nap during the day, I feel Jesus put His arms of love around me and hold me close. Sometimes I go lay down on my bed during the day just to feel His arms of love around me. What a privilege is ours to be Ioved by the Saviour of the world.

If you are hurting, it doesn't matter if you are brokenhearted and hurting physically, emotionally, financially or any other way, Jesus loves you and He will help you.

Doctors can operate on our heart but only Jesus can heal a broken heart. Jesus, thank You for the many times You have encouraged me and held me close to Your loving heart. I love You.

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS

"And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn."

Luke 2:1-7
King James Version

John W. Peterson wrote the beautiful inspiring hymn "No Room". The words in this hymn bring tears to my eyes knowing that there was no room for Jesus when He was born.

"No room, only a manger of hay, No room, He is a stranger today, No room, here in His world turned away, No room, no room;

No room, here in the hearts of mankind, No room, no cheery welcome could find, No room, surely the world is blind, No room.

Angels, in heaven up yonder, Watch with amazement and wonder To see the Son of the Highest treated so! No room, only a manger of hay, No room, He is a stranger today, No room, here in His world turned away, No room, no room, no room."

Have you made room for Jesus in your heart, in your time and in everything you do? Does He come first in your life? After all that Jesus has done for us, He deserves to have first place.

Happy Birthday, Jesus. I love You so much. Thank You for all You have done for me. You are so precious to me and it is a privilege to be loved by You.

One happy joyous day I will have the privilege to see You face to face. I'm going to give You the biggest hug You have ever received.

 DID JESUS CRY

"When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!"

John 11: 33-35
King James Version

Did Jesus cry while He was hanging on the cross with the blood flowing down His body? The answer is yes. Jesus had been beaten beyond recognition. He had been ridiculed and cursed and left alone to die on the cross for something He had not done.

Do you understand yet how much Jesus loves you? Have you allowed it to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge how much Jesus loves you? He loved you when He was hanging on the cross. He loved you yesterday. He loves you today and He will love you forever.
There is nothing you could do that would make Him stop loving you. Have you told Him today how much you love Him and appreciate all He has done for you? Do you love Him? If you do love Him, what are you doing to prove to Him you love Him?

Precious Jesus, how I love You. Thank You for dying for me and for loving me. You are so precious to me and one joyous and happy day I will see You face to face. Again, thank You for loving me when I was so unlovely.

 NEVER GIVES UP

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"

1 Peter 5:8
King James Version

The devil never gives up. I haven't cried in a long time but I cried yesterday. It makes satan very angry when we serve Jesus and he will do all he can do to discourage us so much that we stop serving Jesus.

We must not let that happen. We must stay on the battlefield for Jesus just as He stayed on the cross for us. This is why it is so important that we encourage one another.

Even Jesus needed encouragement. If Jesus needed encouragement, how much more you and I need encouragement and to encourage one another.

We read in the Bible. "They helped every one his neighbour; and every one said to his brother, Be of good courage. So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smootheth with the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It is ready for the sodering: and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved." (Isaiah 41:6,7)

May God help all of us to be an encouragement to one another. We especially need to encourage our pastors. Our pastors sometimes have to get out of bed in the middle of the night to go to the hospital to minister to someone.

Our pastors give up valuable time with their families to be an encouragement to us. Please be sure and tell your pastor how much you appreciate everything.

 ALL OF US

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

Romans 3:23
King James Version

I receive email from people telling me how much they enjoy the devotions God lays on my heart to write. I really appreciate those emails because all of us need encouragement.

However, put your eyes on Jesus, not on me or your pastor or your Sunday school teacher because we are human just like you are and also need encouragement and will sometimes fail you even though we don't want to do it.

Keep your eyes on Jesus at all times because He will never fail you or lead you astray. We are to love one another and encourage one another but only Jesus never fails us.

A. A. Luther wrote the beautiful heart touching hymn "JESUS NEVER FAILS". I'm so glad the words in this hymn are true.

"Earthly friends may prove untrue, doubts and fears assail; One still loves and cares for you, one who will not fail. Jesus never fails, Jesus never fails; Heav'n and earth may pass away, but Jesus never fails."

Thank You, Jesus, for loving us and for never failing us. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me. Please encourage and comfort all who are lonely, hurting and discouraged.

 EVERY MINUTE

"Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Matthew 28:20
King James Version

It doesn't matter what time of the day or night it is because Jesus is with us all of the time. We sometimes leave Him but He never leaves us.

A husband and wife were taking a trip and while driving down the highway the wife said to her husband "We don't sit next to each other any more". The husband replied "I haven't moved". The husband always drove so he hadn't moved.

That is how we are with Jesus. He hasn't moved. We are the ones who move and leave Him. If you have wandered away from Jesus, go home to Him because He is waiting for you to come home to Him with His arms open wide to give you a big hug.

Will L. Thompson wrote the beautiful hymn "Softly and Tenderly". I'm so glad the words in this hymn are true.
"Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling, Calling for you and for me;
See, on the portals He’s waiting and watching, Watching for you and for me.
Come home, come home, You who are weary, come home; Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling, Calling, O sinner, come home!"

If you have wandered away from Jesus, go home to Him because He is waiting for you to come back to Him with His arms open wide and a heart full of unconditional love for you.

 DO WE DO IT

"I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude."

Psalms 109:30
King James Version

Do we do it? Do we praise Jesus for all He has done for us? If ever someone deserves to be praised and adored, it is Jesus, the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS".

Thank You, Jesus for all You have done for me. I love You so much and I look forward to the joyous happy day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. Thank You for dying on the cross and paying the price for my sins.

 EVERY DAY

"And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."

Luke 2:10, 11
King James Version

George Albert Burdett wrote the beautiful hymn "LIFT HIGH YOUR CHEERFUL VOICES". I love the words in this hymn.

"Lift high your cheerful voices, In carols strong and clear! Each heart today rejoices, For Bethl’hem day is here! The birthday of the heav’nly King, Let every loyal foll’wer sing, Till everywhere the praise shall ring, Of Christ our Lord!

Sound forth th’eternal glory, That angels sang of old; Be grateful for the story, The faithful shepherds told: The story of the newborn King! The story that today we sing! Till everywhere the tidings ring, That Christ is born!"

Our precious Saviour was born on

Christmas Day but He comes to us every day telling us that no matter how many times we fail Him and hurt Him that He still loves us unconditionally and will always love us.

Please raise your hands and your voices and join me in praising the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS". Worthy is the Lamb of God. He is to be praised every day we live.

One happy joyous day we will have the privilege of seeing Him face to face. I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for all that You have done for me.

 OUR LOVING SAVIOUR

"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

1 Peter 5:6, 7
King James Version

Charles Frederick Weigle wrote the beautiful hymn " No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus". I believe he wrote these words from his heart.

"I would love to tell you what I think of Jesus, Since I found in Him a friend so strong and true. I would tell you how He changed my life completely; He did something no other friend could do.

No one ever cared for me like Jesus; There's no other friend so kind as He. No one else could take the sin and darkness from me; O how much He cared for me."

What a Saviour! What a Friend, this Jesus of Nazareth! He is a Friend beyond compare. Be very selective when choosing your close friends because it only takes one person to discourage you.

I have many friends that I love but before I make them a close friend, I ask Jesus if it is okay with Him. We are to love everyone but it is very important that your close friends love Jesus because it only takes one person to discourage you.

I love You, dear Jesus and I appreciate all You have done for me. Thank You for the many times You have picked me up in Your loving arms and carried me until the pain went away.

You are so precious to me and one day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. I am going to give You the biggest hug You have ever received. Again, thank You for everything.

 HE IS STILL ALIVE

"He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,"

Luke 24:6
King James Version

Bill and Gloria Gaither wrote the beautiful inspiring and heart touching hymn "Because He Lives". I'm so glad the words in this hymn are true.

"God sent His Son, they called Him Jesus; He came to love, heal and forgive; He lived and died to buy my pardon, An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives!

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow, Because He lives, all fear is gone; Because I know He holds the future, And life is worth the living, Just because He lives!"

It makes satan very angry when we serve Jesus and he will do all he can do to discourage us so much that we stop serving Jesus. We must not let that happen. We must stay on the battlefield for Jesus just as He stayed on the cross for us.

No one has ever endured the agony and pain that our precious Saviour did while hanging on the cross for us with the blood flowing down His body.

I have said this before and I will keep saying it until God calls me home to Heaven. No one ever loved you like God and Jesus love you and no one ever will. Their love, concern and care for us is unconditional and unending.

The emotional and physical pain that I have had these last two months are just a vicious attack from satan to discourage me from serving Jesus.

However, satan already lost the battle when our loving Saviour died on the cross for my sins and for your sins.

Thank You, precious Jesus, for loving me when I was so unlovely. Thank You for the many times You have picked me up and carried me until the pain went away.

Knowing that I am going to have the privilege of seeing You face to face some day fills my heart to overflowing with joy and happiness. I love You so much, dear Jesus and look forward to the happy, joyous and victorious day when I will see You face to face.

 ARE YOU READY

"Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept."

Matthew 25:1-5
King James Version

I think there are times when we act like the virgins did in this Scripture. We know that Jesus is coming back any minute yet we allow unforgiveness, bitterness, jealousy, hatred, envy and all other things that hurt Jesus and break His heart to remain in our heart.

It is time we stop hurting Jesus. If Jesus can forgive us for what we did to Him and what we still do to Him, how dare you and I not forgive others and love them unconditionally as He has commanded us to love one another. It is not a request. It is a commandment from our Saviour.

We read in the Bible "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." (John 13:34).

Can you honestly say you always love others unconditionally? I can't say that because there are times I get upset and say harsh words I should not say and then I have to repent and ask God to forgive me. Let's stop hurting Jesus and start loving and treating others as He has commanded us to love them.

 JESUS REALLY CARES

"When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!"

John 11:33-36
King James Version

Jesus really does care when we are hurting. He tells us in the Bible that He wants us to be happy. We read in the Bible. "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John 10:10)

The next time you are in pain, whether it is physical or emotional pain, tell Jesus. He will pick you up in His loving arms and will carry you until the pain goes away. I know He will because He has done it for me many times and He does not play favorites. Jesus loves all of us with the same unconditional and unending love.

 HE REALLY DOES

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

1 Peter 5:7
King James Version

Civilla D. Martin wrote the beautiful hymn "God Will Take Care of You." I believe she wrote this hymn from her heart. God really does take care of us.

I can't get up from my bed or the toilet or a chair without first praying and asking God to help me which He does every time.

So even though I am in a lot of pain because of gout and arthritis several times a day, I always have the reassurance from my Heavenly Father that He cares about me and will help me.

If you are hurting physically or emotionally, tell our Heavenly Father. He really loves you and doesn't want you to hurt. He loves you so much He gave His beloved Son to die on the cross so you can have your sins forgiven and go to Heaven and be with Jesus for all eternity.

Thank You, Heavenly Father. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me and all You do for me every day. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 THE ANSWER IS YES

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

1 Peter 5:7
King James Version

Rev. Frank E. Graeff wrote a beautiful hymn about our precious Saviour "DOES JESUS CARE?" The answer to that is yes because If He didn't care about us, He would never have died for us.

I love the words in this heart touching hymn. "Does Jesus care when my heart is pained Too deeply for mirth or song, As the burdens press, and the cares distress And the way grows weary and long yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief; When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Savior cares."

If you are hurting today, tell Jesus. He will pick you up in His loving arms and will carry you until the pain goes away. O how much He loves you and cares about your health and happiness.

 HE IS COMING

"But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only."

Matthew 24:36
King James Version

It doesn't matter if we believe it or not because Jesus is coming again to take us home to Heaven and we will be with Him forever and we had better be ready when He comes back for us. Jesus can come back for us even while I am typing this devotion.

Are you ready to meet Him when He comes back for us? Please make sure your heart is in right standing with our Heavenly Father. God is not impressed with our money, with our jobs, what car we drive or what club we belong to because what touches the heart of our Heavenly Fatter is how much unconditional love we have for others.

Jesus has told us that we are to love others unconditionally as He loves us. It's hard to love people when they say and do things that hurt us but that is exactly what Jesus did as He hung on the cross with the blood flowing down His precious body. He gave unconditional love and He still gives it today to you and to me.

Have you told Jesus today that you lovd Him? Do you love Him? If so, what are you doing to prove to Him that you love Him? Our precious loving Saviour has feelings too and He wants us to tell Him that we love Him and appreciate Him.

I love You so much, dear Jesus. What a privilege has been mine to write devotions about You these last twenty years. One day when I have the privilege of seeing You face to face, I'm going to give You the biggest hug You have ever had. Thank You for dying on the cross and paying the price for my sins, a price I could never have paid.

 A GIFT FROM THE HEART

"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."

Luke 2:11-14
King James Version

Someone asked me how I decide what I am going to write and the answer is you cam know when you receive a devotion from me, that it is because God spoke to my heart and inspired me to write it.

I have tried many times to write a devotion but the words would not come. Please know when you get a devotion or anything else from me, you can know that God inspired me to write it.

This is a devotion about our precious Saviour but it is also my way of honoring my beloved sister who not only gives from her heart at Christmas, she also gives from her heart every day of the year.

God knew that I would go through a devastating and crippling depression for over forty years so He gave my sister to me to help me. Is my sister perfect? No, she isn't just as you and i are not perfect. There was only one perfect person who ever lived or ever will live and His Name is Jesus.

I don't have the money to buy my sister gifts this year due to medical expenses so this is my way of honoring her and giving a gift to her from my heart.

Even if we can buy a lot of presents for our loved ones, we still should give from our heart because that is what God did for you and for me when He gave His beloved Son to die on the cross for us.

Thank You, Heavenly Father, for giving from Your heart. Thank You, Jesus, for giving from Your heart.

Thank You my beloved sister for giving from your heart every day of the year. I love you and thank God that He made us sisters.

 A STORY OF LOVE

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

Matthew 11:28
King James Version

William Medlen Hutchings wrote a beautiful heart touching hymn about our precious Saviour "WE HAVE HEARD THE WONDROUS STORY".  I love the words in this hymn.

"We have heard the wondrous story Of the Savior’s lowly birth; How He left the throne of glory To redeem the host of earth. To the fold, to the fold, We an entrance seek to win; And we wait at the gate; Jesus, Shepherd, let us in."

How thankful I am that Jesus loves us so much that He did make a way for us to be redeemed and have our sins forgiven, through His precious blood that He shed for you and for me on the cross.

If you ever doubt that Jesus loves you, remember the cross and all the torture, agony and abuse He suffered and endured for you and for me while hanging on the cross with the blood flowing down His precious body.

Thank You, Jesus, for loving me when I was so unlovely. How I long to see You face and face and praise God, I will see You face to face one happy glorious day. I love You, dear Jesus.

 OUR LOVING SAVIOUR

"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."

Luke 2:11
King James Version

Charles Weigle wrote one of my favorite hymns "No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus". I'm so glad the words in this beautiful heart touching hymn are true.

"I would love to tell you what I think of Jesus, Since I found in Him a friend so strong and true. I would tell you how He changed my life completely; He did something no other friend could do.

No one ever cared for me like Jesus;
There's no other friend so kind as He.
No one else could take the sin and darkness from me; O how much He cared for me."

Yes, Jesus cares for me and He loves me no matter how many times I sometimes fail Him just as He loves you. There is no one like Jesus. No one loves you like Jesus loves you and no one ever will. We are so blessed to have our precious Saviour Who loves us so much He died for us.

I love You, dear Jesus and I long for the day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. Thank You for loving me even when I sometimes fail You.

 DO WE REALLY BELIEVE

"But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed."

James 1:6
King James Version

Do we really believe and trust Jesus? I think there are times when we have more trust in a chair. When we sit down n a chair, we don't stop to wonder if it will hold us, we just sit down. May God forgive us for trusting a chair more than we trust Jesus.

 HIS GREAT LOVE

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16
King James Version

I've tried to imagine loving someone so much I would give my son to die for them. Our Heavenly Father must really love us to allow them to crucify His Son on the cross. It was God's great love for you and for me that caused Him to allow His Son to be crucified for us.

I've said this many times and I will keep saying it until God calls me home to Heaven. No one loves us like God and Jesus love us and nobody ever will. I love You, Heavenly Father. I love You, Jesus. Thank you for loving me and for caring for me.

 AND THE TEARS FELL

"And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn."

Luke 2:7
King James Version

I've tried to think how Mary, the mother of Jesus must have felt when her beloved Son was beaten beyond recognition, spat on, and cursed when He hung on the cross with the blood flowing down His body and I can't begin to imagine how it broke her heart to see her Son bruised and bleeding.

If you are a mother, then you can understand just a little how Mary felt that day when her precious Son was crucified for something He didn't do. Jesus had never sinned, not even once yet He willingly walked that long lonely road to Calvary to die for your sins and for my sins.

I have said this countless times and I will keep saying it until God calls me home to Heaven. No one, not your spouse, not your parents, not your children nor anyone else loves you like Jesus loves you and no one ever will.

What a privilege is ours to be loved by the Saviour of the world. I love You, dear Jesus and I am going to give You a big hug when I have the privilege of seeing You face to face one happy joyous day.

Carrie E. Breck wrote one of the most beautiful hymns I have ever heard about our precious Saviour "FACE TO FACE WITH CHRIST, MYSAVIOR".  I love the words in this heart touching hymn.
"Only faintly now I see Him, With the darkened veil between, But a blessèd day is coming, When His glory shall be seen. Face to face I shall behold Him, Far beyond the starry sky; Face to face in all His glory, I shall see Him by and by!"

Are you ready to meet Jesus if He should come while you are reading this devotion? If not, I urge you to open the door of your heart and let Jesus come in. He loves you so much He died for you. Say yes to Jesus now before it is too late.

One day it will be too late to say yes to Jesus. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

 A DAY OF JOY

"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."

Luke 2:11
King James Version

It was a day of joy when our Saviour was born and every day should be a day of joy because Jesus loves us and He loves us unconditionally. I love You, dear Jesus, and I look forward to the happy joyous day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

 DO WE KEEP IT

"But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it."

Luke 11:28
King James Version

It's not enough to read the Bible and hear the pastor preach. We must do what God tells us to do. Are we doing it?

We read in the Bible. "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." (John 13:34)

Can we honestly say we are loving one another as Jesus loves us? If not, we are hurting Him and breaking His hear. Jesus has suffered enough. It is time that we make Him happy.

It should be the desire of every Christian to mkae Jesus happy. Are you making Him happy or are you hurting Him and breaking His heart?

 HOW TERRIBLE

"Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be."

James 3:10
King James Version

When I went through those years of crippling devastating depression, I couldn't take a bath as much as I wanted to do so because I was emotionally dead.

You might think that's terrible and that I smelled. I'm sure I did but what is worse is the  crippling words that come out of our mouth. When we say harsh and crippling words to someone we might as well take a knife and plunge it deep into their heart because it hurts just as much.

May God help us to only say words that encourage and not say words that hurt and discourage. Not only do we hurt people when we say harsh words to them, we also hurt Jesus.

The Bible tells us when we hurt someone, we also hurt Jesus. It is time that we make our Saviour happy. He has suffered enough for you and for me.

 EVERY DAY

"And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."

Luke 2:10-14
King James Version

What a time of rejoicing it was when the birth of Jesus was announced! However, we should rejoice every day that Jesus was born, not just at Christmas time.

Jesus does so much for us every day that we should always rejoice and praise His precious name.

I have already started to decorate my home for Christmas because the happiness and joy Jesus gives us every day should be in our heart every day of the year.

What a privilege it is to be loved by Jesus and to be part of His family. Just thin! If we have invited Jesus into our heart to be our personal Saviour, one happy day we will live with Jesus in Heaven forever where He has already prepared mansions for us.

My precious sister has decorated my home with beautiful things but Jesus has decorated our heart with His unconditional love and forgiveness.

What a privilege is ours to be loved by the Saviour of the world and to know that one day we will be with Him forever. I love You, dear Jesus.
