 BECAUSE THEY CARE

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16
King James Version

Why did God give His beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins? It is because He loves us so much. Why did Jesus willingly walk that long lonely road to Calvary and allow them to crucify Him on the cross for something He had not done?

It is because not only do They give us love, unconditional love, They are the definition of love. I have said this countless times. No one loves us like God and Jesus love us and nobody ever will. Not only is Their love unconditional, it is also a never ending love.

There is nothing we can do that would make God and Jesus stop loving us. How much do we love Them and what are we doing to prove to Them that we love Them? We can say anything but They can look in our heart and They know if we really do love Them or if we are just saying the words.

Jesus, it is impossible to tell You how much I love You and how wonderful You are. Thank You for loving me and for dying for my sins. I look forward to the happy joyous day when I will see You face to face.

 JESUS GIVES THE VICTORY

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

Philippians 4:13
King James Version

Rev. Elijah Taylor Cassel wrote the beautiful hymn "LOYALTY TO CHRIST". I love the words in this inspiring hymn.

"From over hill and plain There comes the signal strain, ’Tis loyalty, loyalty, loyalty to Christ; Its music rolls along, The hills take up the song, Of loyalty, loyalty, yes, loyalty to Christ.

On to victory! On to victory! Cries our great commander, On! We’ll move at His command, We’ll soon possess the land, Through loyalty, loyalty, Yes, loyalty to Christ."

Thank Yoiu, Jesus, for always giving us the victory when satan attacks us. I love You and appreciate all that You have done for me and all that You do for me every day.

THE LOVE AND BLOOD OF JESUS

"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."

1 John 1:7
Kihg James Version

Evangelist Isaac W. Naylor wrote a heart touching and beautiful hymn "THERE’S CLEANSING IN THE PRECIOUS BLOOD".

"Oh! hasten now to Calv’ry’s mountain, There’s cleansing in the precious blood; And plunge into the flowing fountain, There’s cleansing in the precious blood.

There’s cleansing in the precious blood, Plunge now beneath the crimson flood; Confessing all your sins to Jesus, There’s cleansing in the precious blood.

Come now, together let us reason, There’s cleansing in the precious blood; Although your sins be red like crimson, There’s cleansing in the precious blood.

Your heart is full of sin and sadness, There’s cleansing in the precious blood; In Jesus there is joy and gladness, There’s cleansing in the precious blood.

At morning, noon and night I’m singing, There’s cleansing in the precious blood; Oh, let us keep the anthem ringing, There’s cleansing in the precious blood."

It is because Jesus loves us so much that He allowed them to crucify Him on the cross for something He had not done. Jesus gave His life so that we can have everlasting life.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

I have said this countless times and I will keep saying it until God calls me home to Heaven. No one loves us like Jesus and God love us and nobody ever will. Their loves is amazing, unconditional and unending.

Thank You for everything, dear Jesus. I love You so much and I look foward with joy and happiness to the day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

 OUR ROCK OF SAFETY

"Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;"

Hebrews 6:19
King James Version

Lizzie DeArmond wrote the beautiful hymn "ANCHOR YOUR BARK". I love the words in this inspiring hymn.

"Look well to your cables, my brother, For severed the faith strands may be; Take heed lest you slip from your moorings, And storm tossed lie out on life’s sea.

Drifting away, drifting away, Far from the home of the blest; Then anchor yourself on the Christ-rock For under its shadow is rest.

Concealed by the gathering darkness, Are breakers of sin just at hand; O soul! there is many a danger To keep you from gaining the land.

So anchor your bark to the Christ-rock, And ask the dear Jesus to be Your pilot, to guide you in safety To the shores of eternity."

Rev. Edward Mote wrote one of my favorite hymns "My Hope is Built On Nothing Less". "My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus' Name.

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand: all other ground is sinking sand; all other ground is sinking sand."

Thank God for Jesus, our solid Rock. I love You, Jesus and one happy joyous day I will see You face to face. Thank You for loving me and for dying for me.

 KEEP MARCHING FOR JESUS

"And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's."

2 Chronicles 20:15
King James Version

We will never win the battle against satan and evil without allowing Jesus to help us. Jesus has made it very clear that we can't do anything without Him. We read in the Bible. "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." John 15:5

Rev.Sabine Baring-Gould wrote one of my favorite hymns "ONWARD, CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS". It is such a privilege to be able to march in God's army.

"Onward, Christian soldiers, Marching as to war, With the cross of Jesus Going on before. Christ, the royal Master, Leads against the foe; Forward into battle See His banners go!

Onward, Christian soldiers, Marching as to war, With the cross of Jesus Going on before. At the sign of triumph, Satan’s host doth flee; On then, Christian soldiers, On to victory! Hell’s foundations quiver At the shout of praise; Brothers, lift your voices, Loud your anthems raise.

Like a mighty army Moves the Church of God; Brothers, we are treading Where the saints have trod. We are not divided, All one body we, One in hope, in doctrine, One in charity."

Thank You, Heavenly Father, for allowing us to march in Your army. Please help us to stay on the battlefield for Jesus just as He stayed on the cross for us.

I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for dying for my sins and for never leaving me. I look forward to the joyous happy day when I will see You face to face.

 OUR PLACE OF REFUGE

"Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,"

Psalms 17:8
King James Version

Fanny Crosby wrote the beautiful hymn "LEAD THOU ME". I'm so glad to know that our precious Saviour loves us and never leaves us.

"Savior, let me still abide In the shadow of Thy wings; Let me all my sorrow hide, In the joy Thy mercy brings;

Draw me, keep me day by day, Nearer, nearer, Lord to Thee; All along my pilgrim way, O my Savior, lead Thou me.

To the cross my soul was brought, To the cross, with all its grief; There a healing balm I sought, There I found a sweet relief; Yet for deeper love I pray, Love that clings alone to Thee; All along my pilgrim way, O my Savior, lead Thou me.

Let me trust Thee more and more, Let my will and Thine be one, Till my warfare here is o’er, Till the victory I have won; In the light whose blessèd ray Shining down, by faith I see, All along my pilgrim way, O my Savior, lead Thou me."

I am so glad to know that Jesus not only loves us, He also never leaves us. Allow Jesus to love you and lead you. He will never fail you. I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for everything.

 IT HURTS HIM

"From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?"

James 4:1
King James Version

It hurts Jesus and breaks His heart when we fight and say and do things He has told us not to do. It is time we stop hurting Jesus and breaking His heart.

Jesus has done so much for us and He deserves for us to do things and say words that make Him happy.

One day every one of us will stand before God and give an account of the way we treated Jesus. I don't know about you but I don't want to have to hang my head in shame because I hurt Jesus.

Jesus thank You for loving us, for dying for our sins and for never leaving us. I love You so much and look forward with joy to the day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. Thank You for everything.

WE NEED JESUS ALL THE TIME

"Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,"

Psalms 17:8
King James Version

Fanny Crosby wrote the beautiful hymn " LEAD THOU ME". I'm so glad we can trust Jesus to lead us and protect us.

"Savior, let me still abide In the shadow of Thy wings; Let me all my sorrow hide, In the joy Thy mercy brings; Draw me, keep me day by day, Nearer, nearer, Lord to Thee; All along my pilgrim way, O my Savior, lead Thou me.

I think we sometimes make our own problems when we try to do things without first asking Jesus to help us. It is time we allow Jesus to help us and then we won't have so many problems and heartaches.

Thank You, Jesus, for caring about us and for helping us when we are discouraged and feel like going to bed and staying there. Please help us to stay on the battlefield for Jesus just as He stayed on the cross for us.

I love You, dear Jesus, and look forward with joy and happiness to the day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face,. Thank You for dying for my sins and for all You do for me every day. Especially thank You for never leaving me.

 JESUS IS OUR LIGHT

"And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof."

Revelation 21:23
King James Version

Jessie B. Pounds wrote the beautiful hymn "BEAUTIFUL ISLE OF SOMEWHERE". I love the words in this hymn.

"Somewhere the sun is shining, Somewhere the songbirds dwell; Hush, then, thy sad repining, God lives, and all is well.

Somewhere, somewhere, Beautiful Isle of Somewhere! Land of the true, where we live anew, Beautiful Isle of Somewhere!

Somewhere the day is longer, Somewhere the task is done; Somewhere the heart is stronger, Somewhere the guerdon won.
Somewhere the load is lifted, Close by an open door; Somewhere the clouds are rifted, Somewhere the angels sing."

Thank You, Jesus, for being our Light in a world filled with darkness and violence. What a healing balm it is to our weary battle scarred heart to know that You are with us all thr time and will never leave us and that we can depend on You and trust You.

I love You so much and look forward to the happy joyous day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. Are you going to see Jesus face to face?

If you have never told God you are sorry for your sins, asked Him to forgive you and invited Jesus into your heart. I urge you to do it even as you read this devotion. Don't miss out on spending eternity with Jesus.

 ARE YOU READY FOR JESUS

"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

1 Corinthians 15:51, 52
King James Version

Minnie B. Enlow wrote the beautiful inspiring hymn "ABIDING IN JESUS". Every one of us has the answer the question and say if we are ready for Jesus.

"Jesus, Thou rock of ages, O let me hide in Thee; Into Thy very bosom, Under Thy shadow be.

O help me, precious Savior, To ever abide in Thee; O may Thy Word so precious Abide supreme in me.

Jesus, my precious bridegroom, My heart is fixed on Thee; O keep me ever watching, And keep me always free.

Jesus is coming quickly To gather home His own; Into His glorious kingdom, To sit upon His throne."

Thank You, Jesus, for loving us so much that You allowed them to crucify You on the cross and pay the price for something You had not done. It was the most expensive price that has ever been paid for anything whenYou shed Your blood on the cross for our sins.

You are so precious, dear Saviour, and one joyous happy day I will have thr privilege of seeing You face to face. I love You so much and appreciate all You have done for me and all that You do for me every day. Thank You for never leaving me.

WE NEED JESUS ALL THE TIME

"Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me."

John 15:4
King James Version

Minnie B. Enlow wrote the beautiful hymn "ABIDING IN JESUS". I love the words in this hymn.

There are times when we try to do things by ourself and then we wonder why we can't do them. Jesus tells us why in the Bible, "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." John 15:5.

Let's swallow our pride and allow Jesus to help us. Not only will we be able to do what we want to do, we will make Jesus happy. Making Jesus happy should be the goal of everyone. He has done so much for us.

I love You so much, dear Jesus, and I look forward to the happy joyous day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face Thank You for all You have done for me especially for coming to me when I couldn't go to You.

 THE HEART OF JESUS

"Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,"

Philippians 3:8
King James Version

Oswald J. Smith wrote one of my favorite hymns "DEEPER AND DEEPER". I love the words in this inspiring hymn and I'm so glad thtey are true.

"Into the heart of Jesus Deeper and deeper I go, Seeking to know the reason Why He should love me so, Why He should stoop to lift me Up from the miry clay, Saving my soul, making me whole, Though I had wandered away.

Into the will of Jesus, Deeper and deeper I go, Praying for grace to follow, Seeking His way to know; Bowing in full surrender Low at His blessèd feet, Bidding Him take, break me and make, Till I am molded, complete.

Into the cross of Jesus Deeper and deeper I go, Following through the garden, Facing the dreaded foe; Drinking the cup of sorrow, Sobbing with broken heart, O Savior, help! Dear Savior, help! Grace for my weakness impart.

Into the joy of Jesus Deeper and deeper I go, Rising, with soul enraptured, Far from the world below. Joy in the place of sorrow, Peace in the midst of pain, Jesus will give, Jesus will give; He will uphold and sustain.
Into the love of Jesus Deeper and deeper I go, Praising the One who brought me Out of my sin and woe; And through eternal ages Gratefully I shall sing, O how He loved! O how He loved! Jesus, my Lord and my king!"

Thank You, Jesus, for loving us and for all You have done for us and for all You do for us every day. I look forward with joy and happiness to the day I will see You face to face.

 IT BREAKS HIS HEART

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

1 Peter 5:7
King James Version

Rev. Frank E. Graeff wrote the heart touching and inspiring hymn about our precious Saviour "DOES JESUS CARE?" I'm so glad to know Jesus cares about us.

"Does Jesus care when my heart is pained Too deeply for mirth or song, As the burdens press, and the cares distress And the way grows weary and long?

Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief; When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Savior cares.

Does Jesus care when my way is dark With a nameless dread and fear? As the daylight fades into deep night shades, Does He care enough to be near?

Does Jesus care when I’ve tried and failed To resist some temptation strong; When for my deep grief there is no relief, Though my tears flow all the night long?

Does Jesus care when I’ve said goodbye To the dearest on earth to me, And my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks, Is it aught to Him? Does He see?"

Yes, Jesus sees and He cares. When we are hurting, He picks us up and carries us until the pain goes away and He sets us once again on the mountain top of happiness. What a privilege is ours to be loved by the Saviour of the world and one happy day we will have the privilege of seeing Him face to face and will be with Him for all eternity,

"If you come to Jesus, trust His love and grace, If you read the Bible and the truth embrace, You will find your spirit thrill with peace divine— Jesus will be yours as He is mine.

Trust Him, then, my brother (O trust Him); Trust the Lord divine; Trust Him, then, my brother (O trust Him); And He will be yours as He is mine.

 THE GIFT OF GOD

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

Ephesians 2:8, 9
King James Version

Fanny Crosby wrote the beautiful hymn "BY GRACE ARE YE SAVED" I love the words in this inspiring hymn.

"’Tis not by works that we have done, Our souls redeemed will be; But by the blood of God’s dear Son, Who died on Calvary.
By grace are ye saved, By grace are ye saved thro’ faith, And that not of yourselves, It is the gift of God.

’Tis not by works that we can do, Our righteousness is vain; But by what Christ Himself hath done, Eternal life we gain.
’Tis not by works of ours that we Can know our sins forgiv’n; But by the living word of Him Who pleads for us in Heav’n.

’Tis not our works, but Christ’s alone, Then rest thy anxious soul; For safe thou art on Him, thy rock, While endless ages roll."

One of the most beautiful heart touching and inspiring hymns I have ever heard is "ROCK OF AGES". Thank God for Jesus, our Rock of ages.

"Rock of Ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in Thee; Let the water and the blood, From Thy wounded side which flowed, Be of sin the double cure; Save from wrath and make me pure.

Not the labor of my hands Can fulfill Thy law’s demands; Could my zeal no respite know, Could my tears forever flow, All for sin could not atone; Thou must save, and Thou alone.

Nothing in my hand I bring, Simply to the cross I cling; Naked, come to Thee for dress; Helpless look to Thee for grace; Foul, I to the fountain fly; Wash me, Savior, or I die.

While I draw this fleeting breath, When mine eyes shall close in death*, When I soar to worlds unknown, See Thee on Thy judgment throne, Rock of Ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in Thee."

Have you allowed Jesus to hide you and protect you from the attacks of satan? Without Jesus, we can't do anything. We need Jesus every minute of every day. Our precious Saviour is the One Who sits beside our bed and holds our hand when the night is so long and we can't sleep. He has never left us and He never will leave us.

What a privilege is ours to be loved by the Saviour of the world. I love You, dear Jesus and I look forward with joy to the day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

 HE LOVES US

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16
King James Version

I don't think any of us including me have any idea of how much our Heavenly Father loves us. There are not enough words to describe how much God loves us. What a privilege it is to be part of the family of God.

Bill and Gloria Gaither wrote the beautiful inspiring and heart touching hymn "Family of God". I love the words in this hymn.

"I'm so glad I'm a part of the Family of God, I've been washed in the fountain, cleansed by His blood! Joint heirs with Jesus as we travel this sod, For I'm part of the family, The Family of God.

You will notice we say "brother and sister" 'round here, It's because we're a family and these are so near; When one has a heartache, we all share the tears, And rejoice in each victory in this family so dear.

From the door of an orphanage to the house of the King, No longer an outcast, a new song I sing; From rags unto riches, from the weak to the strong, I'm not worthy to be here, but praise God I belong!"

Are you a part of the family of God? If you have never admitted you are a sinner, asked God to forgive you for your sins and invited Jesus into your heart to be your Saviour, please do it even as you read this devotion. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you. I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for everything.

 JESUS LOVES US

"The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee."

Jeremiah 31:3
King James Version

Have you ever felt that nobody loves and cares about you and your happiness? Jesus loves us and cares about us and our happiness.

We read in the Bible. "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10

We know Jesus loves us. He proved to us how much He loves us when He allowed them to crucify Him on the cross for our sins. What are we doing to prove to Him how much we love Him and appreciate all He has done for us?

If Jesus comes back for us while you are reading this devotion, would you be able to look Him in the eye or would you have to look away because You are hurting Him?

May God help us to love one another unconditionally as He loves us. It is not an option for us to love unconditionally. It is a commandment from our Saviour.

"This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you." John 15:12 What an amazing, giving and unconditional love Jesus gave us when He allowed them to crucify Him on the cross for your sins and for my sins.

I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for everything. Yes, Jesus loves us. Do we love Him?

 ARE WE DOING IT

"O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles."

Psalms 43:3
King James Version

Charles H. Gabriel wrote a hymn that should challenge all of us to do it "SEND THE LIGHT" Are we sending the light of Jesus to everyone we see by our actions and words or are we sending the darkness of satan by our words and actions?

"There’s a call comes ringing over the restless wave, Send the light! Send the light! There are souls to rescue, there are souls to save, Send the light! Send the light!

Send the light, the blessèd Gospel light; Let it shine from shore to shore! Send the light, the blessèd Gospel light; Let it shine forevermore!

We have heard the Macedonian call today, Send the light! Send the light! And a golden offering at the cross we lay, Send the light! Send the light!

Let us pray that grace may everywhere abound, Send the light! Send the light! And a Christlike spirit everywhere be found, Send the light! Send the light!

Let us not grow weary in the work of love, Send the light! Send the light! Let us gather jewels for a crown above, Send the light! Send the light!"

What a privilege is ours to be able to send the light of Jesus to everyone we see. When our family, our friends and others look at us do theyknow we love Jesus by our kind words and loving actions.

May God have mercy on us and forgive us if we are sending the darkness of satan instead of the light of our precious Saviour.

 HE IS STILL ALIVE

"Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again."

Luke 24:1-8
King James Version

There are times when we act like Jesus can't help us. He is still alive and He helps us every day.  Jesus does not allow satan to keep us sad and defeated. Jesus already won the victory over satan when He allowed them to crucify Him for our sins.

"When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost." John 19:30

I don't think any of us have any idea of the pain, the torture, the agony and heartache that Jesus endured for us when they crucified Him on the cross for something He had not done.

How often do you tell Jesus you love Him and appreciate the sacrifice, the torture and the heartache He endured on the cross for you? Have you told Him today that you love Him and appreciate Him? If not, you are hurting Him and breaking His heart.

If ever someone deserves to be praised, loved and adored, it is Jesus. He is the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS!" Please lift your hands and voices and praise the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

I love You, precious Jesus. Thank You for everything and one happy joyous day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. Thank You for never leaving me and for caring when I am sad and hurting.

 WE NEED JESUS

"I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."

John 15:5
King James Version

Henry F. Lyte wrote the inspiring hymn "Abide with Me". The words in this beautiful hymn are so true.

"Abide with me; fast falls the eventide; The darkness deepens; Lord, with me abide; When other helpers fail and comforts flee, Help of the helpless, oh, abide with me.

Swift to its close ebbs out life’s little day; Earth’s joys grow dim, its glories pass away; Change and decay in all around I see— O Thou who changest not, abide with me.

I need Thy presence every passing hour; What but Thy grace can foil the tempter’s pow’r? Who, like Thyself, my guide and stay can be? Through cloud and sunshine, Lord, abide with me.

I fear no foe, with Thee at hand to bless; Ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness; Where is death’s sting? Where, grave, thy victory? I triumph still, if Thou abide with me.

Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes; Shine through the gloom and point me to the skies; Heav’n’s morning breaks, and earth’s vain shadows flee; In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me."

What a healing balm it is to our weary battle scarred heart to know Jesus loves us unconditionally and He will never leave us. I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for everything especially for never leaving me.

 HE IS COMING AGAIN

"Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven."

Acts 1:11
King James Version

Rev. William Marion Runyan wrote a beautiful hymn about our precious Saviour "AGAIN HE’LL COME". How wondeful it is to know Jesus is coming again.

"From Olive’s hill, the multitude upgazing, Beheld, until the Savior passed from view; words of promise, He who has gone shall come again to you.

Again, again, the nations shall behold Him! Again, again, enrobed in majesty; In clouds of glory every eye shall see Him, Again, again, the King of Glory see!

Again, but not in weakness or in sorrow; Again, but not for bitter pain and loss; The Son of God shall come in glory splendid, Again, but not to bear shame’s bitter cross.

O Zion, clothe thyself in raiment holy; Lift up thine eyes to greet thy coming king; Rejoice, rejoice, no more be robed in sorrow, Rejoice, O Zion, lift thy voice and sing."

One day we will see Jesus face to face and we will be with Him forever. There will be no more tears, no more sorrow and no more parting. I love You, Jesus. Thank You for dying for me and paying the price I could have never paid.

Are you ready to meet Jesus when He comes back for us? Has there ever been a time when you admitted you were a sinner, asked God to forgive you and invited Jesus into your heart to be your Saviour? If not, please do it as you read this devotion. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

 JESUS CARES

"For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee."

Isaiah 30:19
King James Version

I just found this beautiful and inspiring hymn "DAILY CARES AND WORRIES". It didn't give the name of the person who wrote it.

"When you are sore bewildered, Not knowing what to do, When all your schemes seemed baffled, And earthly helpers few—
Go to the Lord for guidance As well as for His grace; Look up for His direction, And strength to run the race.

He will be very gracious When unto Him you cry; When He shall hear He’ll answer To prove that He is nigh.

What tho’ you cannot see it, Each step is marked for you, Planned in the light of His deep love, Who gave His life for you.
He knows your every sorrow, Each little cross and care; Each trifling daily worry So difficult to bear.

’Twas just because He loved you He left His throne on high; To save you and redeem you, To suffer and to die.
And still because He loves you These little worries come, That they may ever tell you, You are not yet at home.

But in this far-off country, Where weary feet oft slide, How restful to remember Your Savior is your guide.

Yes! near each day to whisper His words into your ear, This the way—walk in it; Go forward—never fear Near you till life is over, Near you by day and night; Near you until He takes you Into His perfect light!"

Thank You, Jesus, for loving us uncondtionally and for nevr leaving us. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me. Thank You for coming to me when I couldn't go to You.

 ARE WE WILLING

"And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left."

Luke 23:33
King James Version

Jennie E. Hussey wrote a hymn that should challenge all of us to follow Jesus "LEAD ME TO CALVARY".

"King of my life, I crown Thee now, Thine shall the glory be; Lest I forget Thy thorn crowned brow, Lead me to Calvary.

Lest I forget Gethsemane, Lest I forget Thine agony; Lest I forget Thy love for me, Lead me to Calvary.

Show me the tomb where Thou wast laid, Tenderly mourned and wept; Angels in robes of light arrayed Guarded Thee whilst Thou slept.

Let me like Mary, through the gloom, Come with a gift to Thee; Show to me now the empty tomb, Lead me to Calvary.

May I be willing, Lord, to bear Daily my cross for Thee; Even Thy cup of grief to share, Thou hast borne all for me."

Yes, Jesus died for us on the cross so we can be saved and go to Heaven when we die. What are we doing for Him? Are we making Him happy or breaking His heart because of the things we say and the things we do? May God have mercy on us if we are hurting His beloved Son.

I love You so much, Jesus. Thank You for dying on the cross for me and for all You do for me every day, especially for never leaving me. I look forward to the happy joyous day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

Heavenly Father, please be with my beloved Pastor Davis. Please encourage him, strengthen him, protect him and let him know how much You love him and appreciate his service toYou. Thank You for your encouragement and protection for my Pastor. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 THROUGH HIS BLOOD

“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”

Romans 8:37
King James Version

Lelia N. Morris wrote the beautiful hymn "CONQUERORS THROUGH THE BLOOD". I love the words in this hymn.

"Conquerors and overcomers now are we, Thro’ the precious blood of Christ we’ve victory. If the Lord be for us, we can never fail; Nothing ’gainst His mighty power can e’er prevail.

Conquerors are we, Thro’ the blood, thro’ the blood; God will give us victory, Thro’ the blood, thro’ the blood; Thro’ the Lamb for sinners slain, Yet who lives and reigns again, More than conquerors are we, More than conquerors are we.

In the name of Israel’s God we’ll onward press, Overcoming sin and all unrighteousness; Not to us, but unto Him the praise shall be For salvation and for blood bought victory.

Unto Him that overcometh shall be giv’n Here to eat of hidden manna sent from Heav’n; Over yonder He the victor’s palm shall bear And a robe of white and golden crown shall wear."

Thank You, Heavenly Father, for the precious cleansing blood of Your Son that washes away our sins. Thank You that You love us so much You gave Your own beloved Son to die on the cross for us so we may be saved.

 BECAUSE OF JESUS

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Ephesians 2:8, 9
King James Version

Someone said "It is because of me this person is saved". I submit to you on the authority of the Word of God that is a lie. It is because of God giving His beloved Son to die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins that we are saved.

Jesus is the One Who walked that long lonely road to Calvary and was beaten beyond recognition, cursed, mocked and was crucified for something He had not done.

Fanny Crosby wrote a beautiful hymn about our precious Saviour "BY GRACE ARE YE SAVED". Nothing makes me more upset than for someone to say they did something that only Jesus could have done.

"’Tis not by works that we have done, Our souls redeemed will be; But by the blood of God’s dear Son, Who died on Calvary." How dare you and I try to take credit for something only Jesus could have done.

This is not something that we study in school as part of history and then forget it. This really happened! It is the most expensive price ever paid or ever will be paid.

One day, every one of us will stand before a Holy God and give an account of the way we treated His beloved Son. I don't know about you but I don't want to hang my head in shame because I hurt Jesus.

Jesus is the One, the only One Who could have paid the price for our sins. He is the One Who left His Father, His home and all that He had to come to earth and die on the cross so we can be saved.

I dearly love my family, my Pastor and a lady who is my best friend, but as much as I love them, only Jesus never leaves me. Only Jesus could have paid the price for my sins and one happy joyous day I will have the privilege of seeing Jesus face to face.

Are you going to Heaven to be with Jesus when you die? Has there ever been a time in your life when you admitted you are a sinner, asked God to forgive you and invited Jesus to come in your heart to be your Saviour? If not, please don't wait another minute, ask God to forgive you for your sins and let Jesus come into your heart.

It is the most important decision you will ever make. It is more important than where you live or where you work. Nothing and nobody is as imporant as Jesus and making Him happy. Are you making Jesus happy or are you hurting Him and breaking His heart?

 DOES HE

“But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.”

Isaih 64:8
King James Version

Adelaide Addison Pollard wrote a hymn that tells us to let Jesus have His own way in our life and in our heart "HAVE THINE OWN WAY, LORD". Do we let Him have His own way?

"Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way! Thou art the Potter, I am the clay. Mold me and make me after Thy will, While I am waiting, yielded and still.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way! Search me and try me, Master, today! Whiter than snow, Lord, wash me just now, As in Thy presence humbly I bow.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way! Wounded and weary, help me, I pray! Power, all power, surely is Thine! Touch me and heal me, Savior divine.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way! Hold o’er my being absolute sway! Fill with Thy Spirit ’till all shall see Christ only, always, living in me."

Do people see Jesus living in us or do they see satan living in us by the things we do and the words we say? We are either serving Jesus or we are serving satan. Which one are you serving?

We read in the Bible. "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15

May God help us to live for Jesus because He died on the cross for us so we can be saved and to go Heaven when we die. I love You, Jesus, and I look forward with joy and happiness to the day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.
