JOY IN HEAVEN

"Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth."

Luke 15:10

M. A. Dodge wrote a beautiful hymn "THE ANGELS’ JOY". The angels rejoice when someone is saved.

"There is joy among the angels, When the children seek the fold; How they tune their harps and voices, Gathered ’round the gates of gold.

Then to Jesus come away; Hear Him kindly, gently say, Suffer all the little children, Bid them come to Me today.

There is joy among the angels, When a soul by sin oppressed, To the Savior turns repenting, And receives the promised rest.

There is joy among the angels, As they bear the news to Heaven, Of a child on earth rejoicing, O’er the bliss of sins forgiven."

What a celebration there is in Heaven when a precious child is saved. What kind of example are we setting for our children? It's not enough to tell our children how they should live for Jesus. We need to set the example for them.

I'm reminded of the young boy who said to his parents when they came home from church. "You go to church, you teach Sunday school and sing in the choir but when you come home you criticize the pastor and the sermon. If that is what it means to be a Christian, I don't want any part of it."

One day every one of us will stand before God and give an account of how we treated children and what kind of example we set for them.

I don't know about you but I don't want to have to hang my head in shame because I didn't set a good example and I hurt Jesus and broke His heart. God loves His beloved Son and it hurts Him and breaks His heart when we hurt Jesus.

I love You, Heavenly Father. I love You, Jesus. I love You, Holy Spirit. Thank You for all You have done for me and for all You do for me every day.
