 A NEW HEART

"A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh."

Ezekiel 36:26
King James Version

Have you allowed Jesus to save you and give you a new heart or are you still allowing bitterness, resentment, unforgiveness, hatred and jealousy to remain in your heart?

It's easier to blame our parents for the things we do than to point the finger of guilt at ourselves, isn't it? I used to blame my parents for everything until the day I heard Billy Graham say "Don't you blame your parents. There comes a time when we make the choice to do right or wrong".

How can we continue to allow bitterness, resentment, hatred and unforgiveness to remain in our heart when Jesus forgave us for our sins even while hanging on the cross with the blood flowing down His body?

I think there are times when we hurt Jesus and break His heart because we refuse to forgive others for hurting us. We can tell people we're sorry and mean it and they can tell us they forgive us but we might as well take a knife and plunge it deep into the person's heart because cruel words hurt just as much as if we stabbed the person.

One day all of us will stand before God and give an account of the way we treated Jesus. We need to remember that when we say and do mean things that hurt others we are also hurting Jesus.

Jesus tells us in the Bible. "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Matthew 25:40

If you are hurting Jesus, stop it! Jesus deserves our love and all of our time and everything we have. I love You, precious Saviour.
