 IT BREAKS HIS HEART

"From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?"

James 4:1
King James Version

I was watching Judge Judy and all they were doing were yelling at each other and blaming each other. It is time that all of us, including me, admit that there are times when we say things and do things that hurt others.

Hopefully, we don't do it on purpose but there was only one perfect person who ever lived or ever will live and His Name is Jesus. Instead of yelling at one another, blaming one another and saying harsh and critical words to each other we need to be praying for and encouraging one another.

One day every one of us will stand before God and give an account of the things we did and the words we said. I don't know about you but I don't want to have to hang my head in shame becaause I said and did things that hurt other people.

It is very simple. If we really love Jesus, we will ask Him to help us keep our big mouths shut when we are tempted to say words that will hurt someone. We might think they deserve to be yelled at but what about us? None of us are perfect. If we want others to be kind and encouraging to us, we need to be kind and encouraging to them.

May God have mercy on us, forgive us and help us to be quiet when we ae tempted to say something that will hurt someone. Just because I write a daily devotion every day does not mean I never hurt people. I have to ask God to forgive me and help me keep my big mouth shut.
Let's make a special effort to do and say things that will make Jesus happy. Jesus shed His own blood for us on the cross. The least we can do is love one another unconditionally as He has commanded us to love each other. I love You, dear Jesus.
