ARE WE HELPING OTHERS

William M. Golden wrote the hymn "A BEAUTIFUL LIFE". I love the words in this hymn.

"Each day I’ll do a golden deed, By helping those who are in need, My life on earth is but a span, And so I’ll do the best I can, The best I can.

Life’s evening sun is sinking low, A few more days and I must go To meet the deeds that I have done, Where there will be no setting sun.

To be a child of God each day, My light must shine along the way; I’ll sing His praise while ages roll And strive to help some troubled soul, Some troubled soul.

The only life that will endure, Is one that’s kind and good and pure; And so for God I’ll take my stand, Each day I’ll lend a helping hand, A helping hand.

Are we being a lighthouse of unconditional love for Jesus even when someone hurts us? I have to admit that there are times when God has to take me out to His woodshed because I have said something that hurt someone.

If God can love us unconditionally even after we crucified His beloved Son on the cross, then you and I can love others unconditionally as Jesus has commanded us to love others.

Heavenly Father, please forgive me for the times when I say things that hurt others. I don't want to do it but sometimes I do and I'm sorry.

I pray for my beloved Pastor. Please touch him and heal him and let him know how much You love him. I love You, Heavenly Father. I love You, Jesus. I love You, Holy Spirit. Thank You, Jesus, for all You have done for me and for all You do for me every day, especially for never leaving me. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
