HE IS STILL ALIVE

"And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."

Matthew 28:5, 6
King James Version

Alfred Henry Ackley wrote one of my favorite hymns "He Lives". "He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart."

There are times when we act like Jesus isn't alive but He arose and He walks with us and talks with us. Where we get in trouble is when we try to do things by ourselves without asking Jesus to help us and He has told us that we can't do anything without Him.

We read in the Bible. " I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing" (John 15:5). We need to ask Jesus to help us instead of trying to do things by ourselves. Stuart Hamblen one of my favorite hymns "They That Wait Upon The Lord".

"They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, They shall mount up on wings as an eagle, They shall run and not grow weary, they shall walk and not faint, Teach me Lord, teach me Lord, to wait." Let's ask Jesus for help instead of trying to do everything alone and then wait for Him to lead us and help us.
