A BROKEN HEART

"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise."

There are times when people hurt us that we have a broken heart and it doesn't feel very good, does it? However, there are times when we should have a broken heart, times when we hurt God. Hopefully, we don't hurt Him on purpose but when we say or do something that hurts His beloved Son, it also hurts Him.

I think all of us, if we're honest with ourselves, have been hurt by someone and it broke our heart. Guess what, none of us are perfect. We have also hurt others, hopefully not on purpose, but we have hurt them. As soon as we realize we've hurt someone, we need to ask God to forgive us and then ask that person to forgive us.

Heavenly Father, it hurts me to know that there have been times when I have hurt You and Your beloved Son. Please forgive me because I'm sorry. I never want to hurt You, yet I know that I do at times. Thank You for loving us so much You gave Jesus to die on the cross for our sins so we can be saved. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
