 DO WE

"Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.:"

Leviticus 19:18
King James Version

Do we love one another? Can we honestly say that we love one another as we love ourselves? I have to admit that I sometimes lose my temper and say things I shouldn't say. However, when I do say words that hurt someone, I tell God I'm sorry and ask Him to forgive me.

We read in the Bible "And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God." (James 3:6-9).

May God help us to say only words that encourage one another. Heavenly Father, please forgive me for the times I have said and done things that hurt someone. I'm sorry. Thank You for loving us even when we say and do things that hurt You and break Your heart.
