“Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.”
John 19:29, 30 KJV
Mrs. Walter G. Taylor wrote one of my favorite hymns “
Covers It All”. “Calvary covers it all, My
past with its sin and stain; My guilt and despair Jesus took on Him there, And Calvary covers it all.”
When we invite Jesus into our heart to be our personal Saviour,
everything we have ever done is forgiven.
One of the most vicious attacks satan hurls at us is when he tries to convince us that Jesus doesn’t love us and we haven’t been forgiven and never will be forgiven. Don’t listen to satan because he is a liar. When Jesus said “It is finished” He took all our sins on His body and paid the penalty for our sins.
What kind of love is this that our Saviour would willingly walk that long lonely road to
Calvary and allow them to crucify Him
for our sins? It is an amazing
unconditional love that can only come from the heart of our precious
Saviour. What a Saviour! What a Friend, this Jesus of ! Nazareth
Please join me in praising the One Who left His Father, His home and all that He had to die on a cross of agony and pain for us. All hail King Jesus! Worthy is the Lamb of God! He is the “KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS”. It should be the desire of every Christian to serve Jesus.
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving Your beloved Son to die for our sins. I love You, Heavenly Father. I love You, Jesus. I love You, Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
