ARE WE A BLESSING

“Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.”
2 Corinthians 5:20 KJV

Harper Garcia Smyth wrote one of my favorite hymns “Make Me a Channel of Blessing”.  “Make me a channel of blessing today, Make me a channel of blessing, I pray; My life possessing, my service blessing, Make me a channel of blessing today.”  Are we a blessing to those who see us?

May God help us to be a channel of blessing to our family, to our loved ones and to all who see us.  It is very important that everyone sees the difference Jesus has made in our life since we invited Him into our heart.  We need to be encouragers to one another as all of us need to be encouraged.

NOT JUST AMAZING

“Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:”
Romans 3:24 KJV

Amazing Grace is one of my favorite hymns.  However, it was not just amazing grace.  It was also a compassionate tender loving grace from the heart of God that caused Him to give His beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins.  O how our Heavenly Father and Jesus love us.

Heavenly Father, thank You for giving Your Son to die for us.  Jesus, thank You for walking that long lonely road to Calvary and allowing them to crucify You for our sins.  I love You so much, Precious Saviour and I long for the day when I will see You face to face.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.

HIS WOUNDED HAND

“And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.”
Luke 23:33 KJV

Harriet H. Pierson wrote a heart touching and inspiring hymn about our precious Saviour “The Hand That Was Nailed To The Cross”.  These words touch my heart.  “The hand of my Savior I see, The hand that was wounded for me; ’Twill lead me in love to the mansions above, The hand that was wounded for me!”

Jesus has precious hands.  His beautiful hands are hands of unconditional love for you and for me.  When they pounded the nails into His hands, I believe with all my heart that every time they pounded a nail into His hands, He felt that excruciating pain in His heart.  What a precious loving Saviour we have!

OUR ENCOURAGING SAVIOUR

“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
Matthew 28:20 KJV

One of the things our encouraging Saviour does for us is to never leave us.  He is with us every minute.  Our family and friends have to go home but Jesus never leaves us.  We are never alone because Jesus is always with us.  What a privilege it is to be loved by the Saviour of the world.

GIVE THEM TO JESUS

“Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”
Psalms 55:22 KJV

There are times when we have problems and heartaches that we don’t have to bear because we don’t give our burdens to Jesus and let Him carry them for us.  Pastor Charles Albert Tindley wrote one of my favorite hymns “Leave it There”.  If we would do what we sing in this hymn, we wouldn’t have so many problems.

“If your body suffers pain and your health you can’t regain, And your soul is almost sinking in despair, Jesus knows the pain you feel, He can save and He can heal; Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.” Jesus doesn’t need our help.  He is able to do anything and everything if we will just trust Him.

Heavenly Father, You are a tender compassionate and loving Father.  Thank You for loving us.  Help us to leave our burdens with Jesus.  I love You, Heavenly Father, and I appreciate all You have done for me.  I love You, Jesus.  I love You, Holy Spirit.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.

GOD’S HEALING LOVE

“And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.”
Matthew 9:35 KJV

God loves us so much that He gave Jesus to us to heal us.  Our precious Saviour not only heals us spiritually, He also heals us physically and emotionally.  Physicians can prescribe medicine for us when we are ill but only Jesus can heal our sin sick heart and soul.  We have a loving Heavenly Father and Saviour.

Have you allowed Jesus to heal you spiritually?  Has the cleansing redeeming blood of our Saviour been applied to your heart for the forgiveness of sins?  If not, I plead with you, I urge you to open the door of your heart and allow Jesus to come in and wash your sins away in His cleansing blood.

Heavenly Father, one day You opened Your heart of love to us and sent Jesus to heal us spiritually, physically and emotionally.  Thank You, dear Father.  You are a tender compassionate Father and I love You and appreciate You.  Thank You for the privilege of serving Jesus.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.

IT BREAKS GOD’S HEART

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16 KJV

When Jesus was crucified on the cross for your sins and for my sins, it broke God’s heart.  Today, when He hears some of the hateful, sarcastic and criticizing words we say to one another, it breaks God’s heart.  Our Heavenly Father loves us so much He gave His Son to die for us.  O that we would love Him.

How do we show God we love Him?  We do it by being kind and loving to His beloved Son.  Jesus said “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me” (Matthew 25:40).

When we are kind and loving to one another, we are being kind and loving to Jesus.  When we are not being kind and loving to each other, it hurts Jesus and breaks His heart.  After all that our precious Saviour has done for us, He deserves to be happy.  Let’s make a special effort to be kind and loving to Jesus.
