 WHAT WILL YOU GIVE JESUS

"When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh."

Matthew 2:10, 11
King James Version

Christmas is next month and we will be celebrating the birthday of our precious Saviour. Homer W. Grimes wrote the hymn "What Shall I Give Thee, Master?" The greatest thing we can give Jesus for His birthday is our heart. If you're not serving Jesus, I urge you to start serving Him. Jesus loves you and died for you. What are you doing for Him?

 HE LOVES US

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16
King James Version

God loves us so much He gave His to die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. Do we love God? If we do love Him, what are we doing to prove to Him that we love Him?

The best way to prove to God that we love Him is by being kind and loving to Jesus. When is the last time you told Jesus that you love Him and when is the last time you did something to prove to Him that you love Him? Jesus has feelings too and it is time we stop hurting Him by being unkind to one another.

 AGAIN AND AGAIN

"Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven."

Matthew 18:21, 22
King James Version

Someone said "When you fall off a horse, you need to get back up and if you fall off again, get back up until you can stay on the horse".

It is the same when someone hurts us, we need to forgive them again and again because that is what our Saviour does for us. He forgives us every time we tell Him we're sorry and ask Him to forgive us.

Thank You, Jesus, for loving us even when we fail You and hurt You. Please help us to stay on the battlefield for You just as You stayed on the cross for us.

 NOTHING AND NOBODY

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?"

Romans 8:35
King James Version

No matter how many times we have to go through dark valleys and how many times satan lies to us and tells us that Jesus doesn't love us, He does love us and nobody or nothing can make our Saviour stop loving us.

He loved us yesterday. He loves us today and He will love us forever.  It is very important that we love Jesus and do things that make Him happy. When we are kind and loving to one another, it makes Him happy.

It doesn't matter how many times we hurt our precious Saviour, He still loves us. Knowing that Jesus loves us unconditionally should make us want to do thing and say things that make Him happy.

 HE STILL LOVES US

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

John 3:16, 17
King James Version

No matter how many times we hurt God, He still loves us. I used to have a terrible temper but Jesus gave me a new heart and helped me with my bad temper. I very rarely get upset with someone but there are times I get upset with myself when I can't do something around the house.

We need to keep our home clean but what impresses God is the condition of our heart. When God looks in our heart, does He see things that make Him happy or does He see things that hurt Him and break His heart?

When I got out of the hospital, I was still so depressed that I couldn't even make my bed. I would pick the sheet up to spread it on the bed and I couldn't do it. I would just stand there and cry. The day I made my bed I was so happy.

If there is something you want to do and are unable to do it. know that Jesus still loves you. If we will ask Him, He will help us do the things we need to do and the things we want to do. Our precious Saviour really loves us and He wants us to be happy.

Jesus tells us in the Bible that He wants us to be happy. We read in the Bible "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" (John 10:10).

Thank You, Jesus, for loving us and for caring about us. I love You and I long for the day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. Carrie E. Breck wrote one of my favorite hymns "Face to Face with Christ, My Savior". I love the words in this heart touching hymn.

"What rejoicing in His presence, When are banished grief and pain; When the crooked ways are straightened, And the dark things shall be plain." Are you ready to meet Jesus if He comes back for us today?

 NOW

"Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest."

John 4:35
King James Version

I never had the privilege of going to Bible College but I have been a student in God's Universtiy every day since I gave my heart to Jesus on August 14, 1980. We don't have to go to school to serve Jesus.

There are people who are hurting right now and need to know someone loves them. When is the last time you told someone that Jesus loves him or her? Have you ever told someone that Jesus loves them? If not, you are hurting Jesus and breaking His heart.

May God help us to get out of our comfort zone and tell people how much Jesus loves them. We need to encourage one another. All of us need to be encouraged and that includes your pastor.

Heavenly Father, I pray for every pastor who is preaching the good news of our risen Saviour. Please let them know how much You love them and how much You appreciate their service to You. I love You, Heavenly Father, and I appreciate all You have done for me. Thank You for loving me and for adopting me into Your family. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 A TRIBUTE TO JESUS

"A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh."

Ezekiel 36:26
King James Version

A friend of mine came to visit me and we were talking about how Jesus had given me a new heart and that I was not a hateful person any longer. My friend said "I can't believe you were ever that way because you are so kind and loving now".

After my friend left, I thought I should have told her to ask my sister. I have the best sister in the world. God knew that I would need a lot of guidance and understanding so He gave my sister to me.

Is my sister perfect? No, she isn't just as I am not perfect but God in His wisdom made us sisters. I really was a hateful person. I didn't even like myself. For several years, I couldn't look in a mirror because I didn't like what I saw.

As much as I love my sister and family, it is nothing compared to the love I have for Jesus. My precious Saviour put His arms of compassion and love around me, told me He loves me and He would never leave me or let anyone hurt me again.

One happy and joyous day, I will see Jesus face to face. What a privilege it is to be loved by the Saviour of the world. If you ever think nobody loves you or cares about you, remember the cross and the excruciating pain that Jesus suffered so you can be saved and go to Heaven.

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us so much that You gave Your beloved Son to pay the price for our sins, a price we could never have paid. Thank You for the privilege You have given me to serve Jesus. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
