 ARE YOU READY

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17
King James Version

Are you ready to meet Jesus if He should come back for us today? Have you told your loved ones you love them? Don't put it off because God could call you or them to Heaven today. If you have allowed unforgiveness, anger, hatred and bitterness to remain in your heart, ask God to forgive you. We need to stop hurting Jesus because when we criticize and say unkind things to others, we hurt Jesus. We need to love others unconditionally just as Jesus loves us.

 GIVE HIM PRAISE

"Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely."

Psalms 147:1
King James Version

Rev. Thomas Ken wrote one of my ffavorite hymns "Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow". I wonder if we are doing what we sing in this beautriful hymn. "Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost."

Heavenly Father, thank You for being a compassionate and loving Father. Thank You for giving Jesus to die for our sins on the cross. What a healing balm it is to our weary battle scarred heart to know that You love us unconditionally and will never kick us out of Heaven. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me. please comfort and encourage all who are hurting and lonely. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 WHAT IF

"And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots."

Luke 23: 33, 34
King James Version

What if Jesus hadn't asked God to forgive us? We would be on our way to hell for eternity. What if we forgive those who hurt us? We would make Jesus very happy because He said when we are loving to others, we are loving to Him and when we criticize one another and hurt one another, we are hurting our precious Saviour.

It is time that we stop hurting Him and breaking His heart. We read in the Bible. "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me" (Matthew 25:40).

Are you hurting Jesus and breaking His heart because you have allowed things that hurt Him like resentment, hatred, jealousy, unforgiveness and bitterness to remain in your heart?

One day every one of us will stand before God and give an account of the way we treated Jesus. May God have mercy on us if we are hurting Jesus and breaking His heart.

 STILL WAITING

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

Revelation 3:20
King James Version

Jesus has been knocking at the door of many people's hearts but they have not opened the door so He can come in and be their Saviour. For others, He has been waiting for a long time for them to serve Him. How can we not serve Him and give Him first place in our heart, in our life and in our time after all He has done for us? Let's not keep Jesus waiting any longer. Open the door of your heart and let Him come in and give Him first place in your life.

 DON'T FORGET JESUS

"And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots."

Luke 23:33, 34
King James Version

While we are remembering our veterans, let us not forget to remember Jesus Who is the greatest veteran of all. The cross was the battlefield Jesus died on for my sins and for your sins. Jesus did not have to stay on the cross had He chosen to come down. He stayed on the cross and shed His blood for you and for me because He loves us so much.

Ray Overholt wrote the hymn "He Could Have Called Ten Thousand Angels". Yes, our loving Saviour could have called ten thousand angels to take Him down when He was hanging on the cross having been beaten beyond recognition, spat on, cursed and mocked but He stayed on the cross and died for our sins just as we need to stay on the battlefield for Him.

After all that Jesus has done for us, we should do all we can do to make Him happy. The greatest thing we can do to make Him happy is to stop criticizing each other and love one another unconditionally as He has commanded us to love each other. May God help us to love one another and encourage each other.

 HE DOESN'T CONDEMN

"She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."

John 8:11
King James Version

When we hurt Jesus and fail Him, we have the assurance that He still loves us. What a privilege it is to be part of the family of God and be able to have fellowship with our precious Saviour. O how I love Jesus!

He is the joy of my heart, the reason I get out of bed in the morning and the reason I'm living. What a privilege has been mine to serve Jesus for the last twenty years and one day I will see Him face to face.

 HUNGRY

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16
King James Version

There are more ways to be hungry, than just not having enough food to eat. There are people who are hungry to be loved and accepted. If you're like me, you don't very a lot of money so you can't buy a lot of presents. All of us can give unconditional love to one another.

Heavenly Father, I pray for all those who are lonely, discouraged and lonely. Please encourage and comfort them as You have done for me so many times. I love You, Heavenly Father and I appreciate all You have done for me. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
