 ARE YOU READY

"In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

1 Corinthians 15:52
King James Version

Carl A. Blackmore wrote one of my favorite hymns "Some Golden Daybreak".  I'm so glad the words in this inspiring hymn are true.

"Some glorious morning sorrow will cease Some glorious morning all will be peace Heartaches all ended, school days all done Heaven will open–Jesus will come

Some golden daybreak Jesus will come Some golden daybreak, battles all won He’ll shout the victory, break through the blue Some golden daybreak, for me, for you.

Sad hearts will gladden, all shall be bright Goodbye forever to earth’s dark night Changed in a moment, like Him to be Oh, glorious daybreak, Jesus I’ll see

Oh, what a meeting, there in the skies No tears nor crying shall dim our eyes Loved ones united eternally Oh, what a daybreak that morning will be."

Are you ready to meet Jesus if He should come while you are reading this devotion?  If you have never asked God to forgive you for your sins and invited Jesus in your heart to be your Saviour, I urge you to do it even as you read this devotion.  Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

I love You, dear Jesus and I look forward to the happy joyous day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.  Thank You for everything You have done for me especially for never leaving me.

 THE LOVE OF JESUS

"The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee."

Jeremiah 31:3
King James Version

Rev. Charles P. Jones wrote one of my favorite hymns "DEEPER, DEEPER".  I am so thankful for the unconditional love of our precious Saviour.

"Deeper, deeper in the love of Jesus Daily let me go; Higher, higher in the school of wisdom, More of grace to know.

O deeper yet, I pray, And higher every day, And wiser, blessèd Lord, In Thy precious, holy Word.

Deeper, deeper, blessèd Holy Spirit, Take me deeper still, Till my life is wholly lost in Jesus, And His perfect will.

Deeper, deeper! though it cost hard trials, Deeper let me go! Rooted in the holy love of Jesus, Let me fruitful grow.

Deeper, higher, every day in Jesus, Till all conflict past, Finds me conqueror, and in His own image Perfected at last.
Deeper, deeper in the faith of Jesus, Holy faith and true; In His power and soul exulting wisdom Let me peace pursue."

I have not had the privilege to go to Bible College but I have been under the teachings of the Holy Spirit every day for the last twenty years.  Does this mean that I am perfect?  Absolutely not!  The only perfect Person Who ever lived or ever will live is Jesus.

I have had several requests to write for people but I have had to tell them that I have tried many times to sit down and write a devotion and the words would not come.  When you get a devotion from me, you can know that Jesus inspired me and helped me write it.

Is your life wholly lost in Jesus and His perfect will or are you allowing satan to take you out of the will of our precious Saviour?  We are either serving satan or we are serving Jesus.

Are you serving Jesus or are you serving satan?  Do people see and hear the love of Jesus in you or do they see and hear the hatred of satan?

 A VICTORY PARTY

"Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth."

Luke 15:10
King James Version

M. A. Dodge wrote one of my favorite hymns "THE ANGELS’ JOY".  Not only do the angels rejoice, our Saviour and our Heavenly Father rejoice.

"There is joy among the angels, When the children seek the fold; How they tune their harps and voices, Gathered ’round the gates of gold.

Then to Jesus come away; Hear Him kindly, gently say, Suffer all the little children, Bid them come to Me today.

There is joy among the angels, When a soul by sin oppressed, To the Savior turns repenting, And receives the promised rest.

There is joy among the angels, As they bear the news to Heaven, Of a child on earth rejoicing, O’er the bliss of sins forgiven."

Have tne angels had a victory party for you?  If there has never been a time in your life when you admitted you were a sinner, asked God to forgive you and invited Jesus to come into your heart and save you, I urge you to do it now.  Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

We read in the Bible "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

Please don't keep Jesus standing any longer.  Open the door of your heart and let Him come in today.  Heavenly Father, I pray for every man, every woman, every boy and every girl who has not asked Jesus into their heart, may today be the day they say yes to Jesus.

I love You, Heavenly Father.  I love You, Jesus.  I love You, Holy Spirit.  Thank You, Jesus for coming to me when I couldn't go to You, thank You for never leaving me.

 THE ANSWER IS YES!

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

1 Peter 5:7
King James Version

Rev. Frank E. Graeff wrote a beautiful hymn about our loving Saviour "DOES JESUS CARE?".  We all know the answer to that question is yes because He not only proved it when He died on the cross for our sins, He also proves it every day by the things He does for us and the unconditional love He gives us.

"Does Jesus care when my heart is pained Too deeply for mirth or song, As the burdens press, and the cares distress And the way grows weary and long?
Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief; When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Savior cares.
Does Jesus care when my way is dark With a nameless dread and fear? As the daylight fades into deep night shades, Does He care enough to be near?

Does Jesus care when I’ve tried and failed To resist some temptation strong; When for my deep grief there is no relief, Though my tears flow all the night long?

Does Jesus care when I’ve said goodbye To the dearest on earth to me, And my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks, Is it aught to Him? Does He see?"

If you ever doubt Jesus loves you, remember all the pain that Jesus endured on the cross when He died for your sins and for my sins.  Have you thanked Him today and told Him that you love Him and appreciate Him?
If not, please do it because He has feelings too and He wants us to tell Him that we love Him.  He knows if we love Him or if we don't love Him because He can see in our heart and needs to have us tell Him how much we love and appreciate Him.  I do love You, Jesus.

Thank You for everything, especially for never leaving me.

 DEDICATED TO JESUS

"And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world."

John 12:47
King James Version

Fanny Crosby wrote a beautiful hymn in honor of our precious Saviour "HE CAME TO SAVE ME".  Indeed we are privileged to be loved by the Saviour of the world.

"When Jesus laid His crown aside, He came to save me; When on the cross He bled and died, He came to save me.

I’m so glad, I’m so glad, I’m so glad that Jesus came, And grace is free, I’m so glad, I’m so glad, I’m so glad that Jesus came, He came to save me.

In my poor heart He deigns to dwell, He came to save me; O praise His name, I know it well, He came to save me.

With gentle hand He leads me still, He came to save me; And trusting Him I fear no ill, He came to save me.

To Him my faith with rapture clings, He came to save me, To Him my heart looks up and sings, He came to save me."

Have you allowed it to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge that Jesus loves you so much He died for you?  No one loves us like Jesus loves us and nobody ever will.  What a Saviour!  What a Friend, this Jesus of Nazareth!

Please join me in praising the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS".  Worthy is the Lamb of God!  One happy day, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is LORD!

I love You so much, dear Jesus, and I look forward to the happy joyous day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.  Thank You for everything, especially for never leaving me.

 WE NEED JESUS

"Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded."

James 4:8
King James Version

Rev. George O. Webster wrote a hymn that is so true "I Need Jesus".  I have learned the hard way to depend on Jesus every day for every thing.  When we think we know more than Jesus is when we find out we need Him for everything every minute of every day.

"I need Jesus, my need I now confess; No friend like Him in times of deep distress; I need Jesus, the need I gladly own; Though some may bear their load alone,Yet I need Jesus.

I need Jesus, I need Jesus, I need Jesus every day; Need Him in the sunshine hour, Need Him when the storm-clouds low’r; Every day along my way, Yes, I need Jesus.

I need Jesus, I need a friend like Him, A friend to guide when paths of life are dim; I need Jesus, when foes my soul assail; Alone I know I can but fail, So I need Jesus."

We need to stop trying to do things by ourselves.  Jesus has told us in the Bible that we can't do anything without Him.  I can't even get out of bed with His help and encouragemnt.

We read in the Bible "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." John 15:5

When are we going to learn to trust Jesus and depend on Him?  I have said this countless times and I will keep saying it until God calls me home to Heaven.  No one loves you like Jesus loves you and no one ever will.

Thank You for loving me, dear Jesus and thank You for dying for my sins and especially thank You for never leaving me.  I look forward to the happy and joyous day when i will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

 HOW OFTEN

"Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime."
Daniel 6:10
King James Version

Marianne Sargent wrote the hymn "ARE YOUR WINDOWS OPEN?"  Can we say that our windows are open?

"In your secret heart, my brother, Was the day with God begun? Did you ask His guidance all along the way? Did you give into His keeping Hours of joy and hours of weeping? When the world has called you from Him, did you pray?"

We can't make it in this world that is filled with hatred and violence without Jesus.  We need Him all the time if we want to live a happy and productive life, a life that pleases Him and makes Him happy.

Mylon LeFevre wrote a beautiful hymn about our precious Saviour which is so true "Without Him".  I love the words in this inspiring hymn.

"Without Him, I could do nothing Without Him, I'd surely fail Without Him, I would be drifting Like a ship without a sail

Without Him, I would be dying Without Him, I'd be enslaved Without Him, life would be worthless But with Jesus, thank God I'm saved

Oh Jesus, oh Jesus Do you know Him today? Please don't turn Him away Oh Jesus, my Jesus Without Him, how lost I would be Without Him, how lost I would be".

It is so true, dear Jesus.  I can't even get out of bed in the morning without Your help and encouragement because the pain makes me want to stay in bed.  What a privilege is mine to serve You!  I love You and appreciate all You have done for me.  Thank You for dying for my sins on the cross and paying the debt I could never have paid.
