A HAPPY AND EXCITING DAY

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17
King James Version

Jim Hill wrote one of the most beautiful hymns I believe that has ever been written about our precious Saviour "What a Day That Will Be". The words in this heart touching hymn bring tears of happiness to my eyes.

"There is coming a day, When no heartaches shall come, No more clouds in the sky, No more tears to dim the eye, All is peace forever more, On that happy golden shore, What a day, glorious day that will be.

What a day that will be, When my Jesus I shall see, And I look upon His face, The One who saved me by His grace; When He takes me by the hand, And leads me through the Promised Land, What a day, glorious day that will be."

What a privilege is ours to be loved by the Saviour of the world. When I think about Jesus leaving His Father, His home and all that He had to come and die on the cross for my sins when He had never done anything wrong, my heart is filled with gratitude and love for my precious Saviour.

Jesus didn't have to come to earth. God didn't make Him come. Jesus came and died on the cross for us because He loves us and He loves us unconditionally. No one loves you like Jesus loves you and no one ever will. His love is unconditional and He will love you forever.  There is nothing you could ever do that would make Him stop loving you.

We know Jesus loves us and He proved how much He loves us when He allowed them to beat Him beyond recognition, spit on Him, curse Him, mock Him and pound nails into His precious hands. I believe every time they pounded a nail into His hands that He felt that pain in His heart.

If you ever think nobody loves you, remember Jesus and the excruciating pain He endured for you. How much do you love Jesus and what are you doing to prove to Him that you love Him?
