There are times when we grow weary and sometimes feel like giving up and not serving Jesus when satan attacks us with his lies and does his best to discourage us from serving Jesus. However, we must stay in the battle and keep marching for Jesus just as He stayed on the cross for us.

Daniel W. Whittle wrote one of my favorite hymns "The Banner of The Cross". This is one of my favorite hymns because it reminds me that we can do something to make Jesus happy. "There’s a royal banner given for display To the soldiers of the King; As an ensign fair we lift it up today, While as ransomed ones we sing. Marching on, marching on, For Christ count everything but loss! And to crown Him king, we’ll toil and sing, ’Neath the banner of the cross!"

Heavenly Father, You are a loving and compassionate Father and I appreciate all You have done for me. I love You so much. Thank You for adopting me into Your family. Thank You for the privilege You have given me to serve Your beloved Son. Thank You. Jesus, for loving us and for staying on the cross for us. I love You and long to see You face to face. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
