 THE BLOOD OF JESUS

"Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered."

Romans 4:7
King James Version

One of my favorite hymns is "O the Blood of Jesus". I'm so glad Jesus loves us so much He shed His precious blood on the cross so we can be saved.

"There is power, power, Wonder working pow'r, In the blood of the Lamb. There is power, power ,Wonder working pow'r, In the precious blood of the Lamb."

Have you given your heart and life to Jesus? If not, I urge you to do it now. One day, Jesus is coming back for us. Are you ready to meet Him if He should come today?

Thank You, Jesus, for loving us so much You allowed them to beat You beyond recognition, spit on You, curse You, and pound those nails into Your precious hands for our sins.

I don't deserve such love but I am so glad You love me so much You died for my sins. One day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. What a day of joy and happiness that is going to be. I love You, dear Jesus.

 OUR ROCK AND FORTRESS

"For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me."

Psalms 31:3
King James Version

Rev. S. H. Holliday wrote the hymn "I WOULD BE THINE". We sing this hymn to Jesus but do we mean what we sing or are we just singing it?

"O Lord, I would be Thine, My all to Thee I give— My body, spirit, soul— Do Thou the gift receive.

Let my whole life be Thine; In me Thy will be done; Accept me for Thine, My hand, my head, my heart, I on Thine altar lay; Oh, use me as Thou wilt."

Rev. Vernon J. Charlesworth wrote "A Shelter in the Time Of Storm". The words in this beautiful hymn are so true.

"The Lord’s our Rock, in Him we hide, A Shelter in the time of storm; Secure whatever ill betide, A Shelter in the time of storm

Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land, A weary land, a weary land; Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land, A Shelter in the time of storm."

Thank You, Jesus, for being our Rock, our Shelter, our best Friend, a Friend Who never leaves us and for loving us unconditionally and for dying on the cross so we can be saved and live with You in Heaven. I love You so much.

 HAVE WE

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Matthew 11:28-30
King James Version

C. B. Comfort wrote a beautiful hymn about Jesus "ROOM IN THE HEART OF JESUS!" I'm so glad the words in this hymn are true.

"There is room in the heart of Jesus For the weary and worn and sad; There is room in the heart of Jesus, And a welcome to make them glad.

There is room in the heart of Jesus, And He cometh in grace to all, With a message of full forgiveness, With a sweet and a loving call.

There is room in the heart of Jesus; Yes, there’s room: come and find it true. Why in sin will you longer wander? Come, oh come, while He calls for you."

Have we made room for Jesus in our heart, in our life, in our time, in the places we go and in everything we do? If not, we are hurting Him and breaking His heart.

 Always

"Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Matthew 28:20
King James Version

Mollie Carruthers wrote a beautiful hymn "LO! I AM WITH YOU ALWAY". What a healing balm it is to our weary battle scarred heart to know that Jesus is always with us. I love the words in this hymn.

"Lo! I am with you alway, Even unto the end; When you are sad and weary, I will My comfort send. When on the path before you Shadows of sorrow lie, Then I will send My sunshine, Then will I heed your cry."

Thank You, dear Jesus, for loving us unconditionally and for never leaving us. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me.

 DO WE

"Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another."

1 John 4:11
King James Version

Can we honestly say that we love one another as God and Jesus love us? Our Saviour tells us how we are to love one another. We are to love one another unconditionally just as He loves us.

We read in the Bible. "This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:12, 13

May God help us to love one another as Jesus loves us. We can't do it by ourselves. We need His help.

Heavenly Father, please forgive me for the times that I don't love others unconditionally. I'm sorry. Please help me to be an encourager instead of saying and doing things that hurt people.

Thank You for Your help. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 IS HE SATISFIED WITH US

"His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."

Matthew 25:21
King James Version

Grace B. Maxwell wrote a hymn that asks a question that every one of us has to answer "IS HE SATISFIED WITH ME?"

"I am satisfied with Jesus, But a question comes to me As I ponder o’er His goodness, Is He satisfied with me?

Do I tell the blessèd story Of the Christ on Calvary, Doing all for His own glory: Is He satisfied with me?

Is my master satisfied, Is He satisfied with Me? I am satisfied with Jesus; Is He satisfied with me?"

All of us are going to have to stand before God and give an account of the way we treated His beloved Son, Jesus.

I don't know about you but I don't want to have to hang my head in shame because I didn't tell others how much Jesus loves them and all that He has done for them. May God help all of us to spread the good news of our risen Saviour.

 OUR FAITH

"(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)"
2 Corinthians 5:7

King James Version

Rev. Ray Palmer wrote a beautiful hymn "MY FAITH LOOKS UP TO THEE". I love the words in this inspiring hymn.

"My faith looks up to Thee, Thou Lamb of Calvary, Savior divine! Now hear me while I pray, take all my guilt away, O let me from this day be wholly Thine!

May Thy rich grace impart Strength to my fainting heart, my zeal inspire! As Thou hast died for me, O may my love to Thee, Pure warm, and changeless be, a living fire!

While life’s dark maze I tread, And griefs around me spread, be Thou my guide; Bid darkness turn to day, wipe sorrow’s tears away, Nor let me ever stray from Thee aside."

I wonder how much we trust Jesus to take care of us. He has proved over and over that He loves us and has shown us how much He cares about us.

Thank You, precious Saviour, for loving us unconditionally, for caring about us and for dying on the cross and paying the price for our sins that we could never have paid. I love You and appreciate You.
