 OUR ROCK AND FORTRESS

"For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me."

Psalms 31:3
King James Version

Rev. S. H. Holliday wrote the hymn "I WOULD BE THINE". We sing this hymn to Jesus but do we mean what we sing or are we just singing it?

"O Lord, I would be Thine, My all to Thee I give— My body, spirit, soul— Do Thou the gift receive.

Let my whole life be Thine; In me Thy will be done; Accept me for Thine, My hand, my head, my heart, I on Thine altar lay; Oh, use me as Thou wilt."

Rev. Vernon J. Charlesworth wrote "A Shelter in the Time Of Storm". The words in this beautiful hymn are so true.

"The Lord’s our Rock, in Him we hide, A Shelter in the time of storm; Secure whatever ill betide, A Shelter in the time of storm

Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land, A weary land, a weary land; Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land, A Shelter in the time of storm."

Thank You, Jesus, for being our Rock, our Shelter, our best Friend, a Friend Who never leaves us and for loving us unconditionally and for dying on the cross so we can be saved and live with You in Heaven. I love You so much.
