GOD’S APPROVAL

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

When I was a child, I wanted my Mother’s approval when I did something. I remember going to her one time and asking her what she thought of what I wanted to do. She said, “What you say sounds fine, but you never finish what you start”. It broke my heart and completely destroyed what little self-confidence I had.

Parents, don’t do this to your children! Your children desperately need to know that you support their efforts. Yes, they may fail, but encourage them to try again. Thank God, I have a Father Who approves of me and always encourages me.

There were many years, however, when He didn’t approve of the way I was living my life and He certainly did not approve of the things I watched on television. There were some people I was associating with that He definitely did not want me around. How about you? Are you able to say that God approves of you right now?
