MEMORIZE

“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”

I heard a sermon on memorizing the Bible. It is very important that we memorize the Bible but that isn’t enough.  We must put into practice what we learn.  It would be like someone going to medical school but never being a doctor.

A pastor used this illustration in a sermon.  “A man memorized the entire Bible, taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and everyone thought he was wonderful but this same man went home and beat his wife.”

Are you doing what the Bible tells you to do?  If not, you are hurting God and breaking His heart.  May God help us to lead others to Jesus by our loving words and actions.  Someone we see may be hurting and need a kind word from us.
