 JOY

"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore."

Psalms 16:11
King James Version

Pastor Joseph D. Carlson wrote a beautiful hymn "If You Want Joy". The words in this hymn are so true.

"If you want joy, real joy, wonderful joy, Let Jesus come into your heart; If you want joy, real joy, wonderful joy, Let Jesus come into your heart; Your sins He’ll wash away, Your night He’ll turn to day, Your life He’ll make over anew; If you want joy, real joy, wonderful joy, Let Jesus come into your heart."

Many years ago when I lived in Texas and felt God calling me to the mission field I walked down the aisle one Sunday morning when the pastor gave the invitation and told him that I felt God calling me to the mission field. I told the pastor I didn't know where God wanted me to go or what He wanted me to do.

The pastor took my hand and prayed a beautiful prayer for me and told me to start serving Jesus right away and tell everyone that Jesus loves them. The pastor also said "If you want to fly higher than a kite, start bragging on Jesus".

That pastor was so right. Three are times when I get so excited that I feel like I'm going to explode with happiness. What a privilege has been mine these last twenty years to tell you that Jesus loves you

I know from personal experience that Jesus loves you and cares about you. There is nothing you could ever do that would make Jesus stop loving you. He loved you yesterday. He loves you today and He will love you forever.

Worthy is the Lamb of God! He is the great I Am and He loves you so much He died for you. Please join me in praising the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS". I love You, dear Jesus and one happy joyous day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

We read in the Bible. "As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake with thy likeness." (Psalms 17:15)

Carrie E. Breck wrote the beautiful hymn "FACE TO FACE WITH CHRIST,

MY SAVIOR".
"Only faintly now I see Him, With the darkened veil between, But a blessèd day is coming, When His glory shall be seen. What rejoicing in His presence, When are banished grief and pain; When the crooked ways are straightened, And the dark things shall be plain."

If you have never invited Jesus into your heart to be your Saviour, I urge you to do it even as you read this devotion. He loves you. Do you love Him?
