Jesus Died For Us

Rev. William McKendree Darwood wrote the hymn "CALVARY". I am so thankful that Jesus loved us enough to die on the cross for our sins.

"On Calvary’s brow my Savior died, ’Twas there my Lord was crucified; ’Twas on the cross He bled for me, And purchased there my pardon free.

O Calvary! dark Calvary! Where Jesus shed His blood for me; O Calvary! blest Calvary! ’Twas there my Savior died for me.

’Mid rending rocks and darkening skies, My Savior bows His head and dies; The opening veil reveals the way To Heaven’s joys and endless day.

O Jesus, Lord, how can it be, That Thou shouldest give Thy life for me, To bear the cross and agony In that dread hour on Calvary!"

Have you allowed it to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge that Jesus loves you so much He died a painful death on the cross for you?

Thank You, precious Saviour for dying on the cross so we can have our sins forgiven and go to Heaven to be with You when we die. I love You so much, dear Jesus.
