DECORATED AND FURNISHED

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.  In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.  And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.”
John 14:1-4 KJV

When we move into a new home, it is usually unfurnished and we have to move our furniture in and decorate it with pictures and other things.  Jesus has already decorated and furnished the mansions He has prepared for us.  He has decorated them with joy, peace, kindness, tenderness and unconditional love.

Our mansions are not only decorated with joy, peace, kindness, tenderness and unconditional love, they are also decorated with the cleansing blood of Jesus that He shed for us on the cross.  We see mansions on television and in magazines but none of those mansions compare to the ones Jesus is preparing for us.

The greatest thing about our mansions is knowing that Jesus Himself will be with us and we will live with Him for all eternity.  Are you shouting with joy yet?  Think about it!  Jesus, the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS who shed His own blood and died for our sins will be with us for all eternity.

What a Saviour!  What a Friend!  All hail, King Jesus!  Worthy is the Lamb of God!  What a privilege it is to be loved by the Saviour of the world.  When I think about seeing Him face to face and being with Him for all eternity, I feel like I’m going to explode with happiness and joy.  O how I love Jesus!
