THE BLOOD OF OUR SAVIOUR

“And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest.  And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”

Revelation 7:14 KJV

The blood that our Saviour shed on the cross for us is not only a cleansing blood; it is also the blood of unconditional love for you and for me.  John W. Peterson wrote one of my favorite cantatas about Jesus “No Greater Love”.  How true it is, there is no greater love than the love Jesus has for us.

When I think about Jesus, the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS loving me so much He died for me and shed His precious blood for my sins, I am filled with love for Him.  Robert Harkness wrote the beautiful hymn “Why Should He Love Me So”.  It is because not only does Jesus give us love, He is love!

Yes, it is the unconditional love and cleansing blood of our Saviour that assures us of a home in Heaven.  Have you invited Jesus into your heart and allowed Him to apply His life giving blood to your heart?  If you have, are you serving Him?  If not, why aren’t you?  He gave His life for you.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Jesus and His blood that cleanses us.  Jesus, how I love You and appreciate You!  Dear Jesus, one day I will see You face to face and I’m going to give You a big hug which will last for all eternity.  Thank You for dying for me and for Your love.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.
