STOP JUDGING

“Judge not, that ye be not judged.”
Matthew 7:1 KJV

Jesus tells us that we shouldn’t judge so we won’t be judged.  I heard an excellent sermon about judging others.  It is time that we stop judging others and start praying for one another.  One day every one of us will stand before a Holy God and give an account of how we treated Jesus and one another.

I think if we are honest every one of us will have to admit there are times when we either said or thought something that hurt Jesus.  It is time that we remember that none of us are perfect.  All of us hurt Jesus at times and break His heart.  O that you and I would pray for and encourage one another instead of judging.

I have received emails from people who tell me how wonderful I am and how great it is that I write devotions.  While I appreciate those kind and encouraging emails because all of us need encouragement, I am not perfect.  I sometimes say things and think things that hurt Jesus.

Don’t ever look to me or to your pastor or Sunday school teacher.  Look to Jesus because He is perfect and He will never hurt you or lead you astray.  You can depend on Jesus for perfection because Jesus is perfect!  What a Saviour, what a Friend, this Jesus of Nazareth!  All hail, King Jesus!

Heavenly Father, please forgive us for the times when we hurt You by judging and condemning others.  Help us to remember that Jesus is the only perfect One.  If there is anything in my heart that hurts You, I’m sorry.  Please forgive me.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.
