ALWAYS WITH US

“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Matthew 28:20 KJV

Frances R. Havergal wrote the hymn “He Is with Thee”.  I love these words.  “He is with thee! thine own master, Leading, loving to the end; Brightening joy and lightening sorrow, All today, yet more tomorrow, King and Savior, Lord and friend.”  Yes, Jesus is always with us.

We may have to go through dark valleys and have many crises in our life but Jesus promised us that He will never leave us.  Jesus is faithful to us.  What about us?  Are we faithful to Him?  Nobody has had as much heartache as Jesus did when He was here on His mission yet He stayed on the battlefield for us.

Are we staying on the battlefield for Him even when we are ridiculed and satan attacks us and lies to us?  Jesus stayed on the cross for us when He could have come down and we must stay on the battlefield for Him no matter how many heartaches and disappointments we have.

Have you answered the call to serve Jesus?  He is still calling us to serve Him.  We read in the Bible.  “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me” (Isaiah 6:8).  If you’re not serving Him, why aren’t you?

Heavenly Father, thank You for the privilege You have given me to serve Jesus.  I pray that many people will fall in love with Jesus, get out of their comfort zone and serve the One Who loves us so much He died for us.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.
