IMPOSSIBLE TO COUNT

“And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.”
John 21:25 KJV

Our Scripture verse tells us that the world can’t contain the books that should be written about everything Jesus did. It is also impossible to count all the miles that Jesus walked.  We read in the Bible about Jesus getting tired.  We need to remember that Jesus got tired just like we do when He was here.

We read in the Bible. “Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour” (John 4:6).  When Jesus walked that long lonely road to Calvary, He was in so much pain that I believe that every step He took felt like a thousand miles.

Evangelist Gordon Jensen wrote a hymn about Jesus dying for us "I Should Have Been Crucified”.  “Crowns of thorns, the spear deep in His side And the pain it should have been mine The rusty nails were meant for me Oh yet Christ took them and let me go free.”  O how Jesus loves us.

We are the ones who should have been crucified.  I believe that Jesus shed many tears for us when He was hanging on the cross.  He had been beaten beyond recognition.  What a Saviour, this Jesus of Nazareth.  O how I love Jesus.  What a privilege it has been to serve Him since January 24, 2005.
