GOD IS FAITHFUL

Edna R. Worrell wrote the hymn “Don’t Stop Praying”.  The words in this beautiful hymn are so true.  “Don’t stop praying! the Lord is nigh; Don’t stop praying! He’ll hear your cry, God has promised, and He is true, Don’t stop praying! He’ll answer you.”

Pastor Thomas O. Chisholm wrote one of my favorite hymns “Great Is Thy Faithfulness”.  I’m so glad the words in this hymn are true.  “Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see. All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;

Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!”

Yes, God is faithful and we can trust Him to take care of us.  The question every Christian needs to answer is “Am I faithful to God?”  When God tells us to do something or go somewhere, do we do it or go where He tells us to go?  Do we do it when God tells us or do we put it off until it is convenient for us?

Do we thank God when He answers our prayers or do we just take Him for granted?  God is not a puppet to be put on a shelf and taken down when we need Him.  God is a Holy God and we need to treat Him with respect.  How often have you thanked Him for loving you so much He gave His Son to die on the cross for your sins?

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness.  Please forgive me for the times when I haven’t done things or gone somewhere as soon as You told me to do it.  Thank You for loving me even when I sometimes fail You.  I love You and appreciate You so much.  Thank You for the privilege You have given me to serve Your Son.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.
