ONE HAPPY DAY

“But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. When a loved one dies even though we know we’ll see them again when Jesus comes back for us, it hurts and we cry because we’re going to miss them.  One happy day we will see them again and be reunited with them and we’ll be together for all eternity.

If you know someone who has lost a loved one, don’t just pray for the person, comfort and encourage the person.  All of us need encouragement at times.  My Mother died several years ago but I still miss her at times.  It breaks my heart to know that there were times I hurt her when I didn’t do what she told me to do.

Mom said to me many times “It doesn’t matter what I say, you’re going to do what you want to do”.  I think if we will listen with our heart we will hear our Heavenly Father say to us “It doesn’t matter what I say, you’re going to do what you want to do”.

Heavenly Father, thank You that one day I will see Mom again.  I pray for all who are hurting because someone they loved has died.  Please comfort and encourage them.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.
