WHAT A PRIVILEGE

“For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.”

Carrie E. Breck wrote one of my favorite hymns “Face to face with Christ, my Savior”.  The words in this hymn bring happiness to my heart.  “Face to face—oh, blissful moment! Face to face—to see and know; Face to face with my Redeemer, Jesus Christ who loves me so.”

Tears of joy and happiness are rolling down my face as I am typing this.  Think about it!  We are going to see Jesus face to face.  What a privilege is ours to be loved by the Saviour of the world.  If you ever think nobody loves you, remember the cross and the pain and agony Jesus endured on the cross for you.

Kurt Kaiser wrote “O How He Loves You And Me!”  “Jesus to Calv'ry did go, His love for mankind to show; What He did there bro't hope from despair: O how He loves you, O how He loves me,  O how He loves you and me.”  Have you allowed it to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge how much Jesus loves you?

If you are reading this devotion, know that Jesus loves you so much He allowed them to spit on Him, curse Him, mock Him and beat Him beyond recognition so you can have your sins forgiven and live in Heaven with Him for all eternity.  I have said this many times and I will say it until God calls me home “Nobody loves you like Jesus loves you and nobody ever will”.  If you have never given your heart and life to Jesus, I urge you to do it now before it is too late and one day it will be too late to say yes to Jesus.

On August 14, 1980, I admitted that I was a sinner, asked God to forgive my sins and invited Jesus into my heart to be my personal Saviour.  What happiness and joy I have to know that I am loved by the Saviour of the world.  Don’t miss out on spending eternity in Heaven with Jesus.  Invite Him into your heart and you will have a joy and happiness you have never known.
