HE GIVES US PEACE

Pastor William G. Cooper wrote a beautiful hymn "Wonderful Peace". "Far away in the depths Of my spirit tonight Rolls a melody sweeter than psalm; In celestial-like strains It unceasingly falls O’er my soul like an infinite calm.

Peace, peace, wonderful peace, Coming down from the Father above! Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray In fathomless billows of love!"

Rev. Charles A. Tindley wrote another one of my favorite hymns "LEAVE IT THERE". If we would do what we sing in this hymn, we would be a lot happier.

"Leave it there, leave it there, Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there. If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out. Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there."

I'm so glad to know that our Heavenly Father will give us peace as I just had someone be very rude to me. I have to admit that I got upset. However, thankfully before I opened my big mouth and said something that would hurt Jesus, I asked Him to help me be quiet. It's a lot easier to say something to hurt someone when they have hurt you than to keep quiet, isn't it?

When we are serving Jesus, satan will do all he can do to discourage us. However, we must stay on the battlefield for Jesus just as He stayed on the cross for us. May God help us to love others unconditionally when they hurt us just as He loves us unconditionally when we hurt Him.
