HOW CAN WE THANK HIM

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

John 3:16 KJV

A friend gave me a gift.  I have thanked her several times for her kindness to me but I can’t find the right words to thank her.  The thought came to me if I can’t find the right words to thank her; it is impossible to find the right words to thank God for the gift of His beloved Son.

There are no words in the dictionary to adequately thank God for Jesus.  We don’t deserve God’s unconditional love, His mercy and His grace. However, because God’s heart is filled with compassion for us; He gave us the greatest gift ever given, His beloved Son, our precious Saviour, Jesus.

How can I thank You, Heavenly Father, for all that You have done for me?  When I think about You sending Your beloved Son into the world to die for me, I am humbled and I stand in awe of Your great love and compassion not only for me, but for every person in the world.

How can I thank You, Jesus, for coming to me when I couldn’t go to You?  When I was in the mental hospital, lying underneath the bed terrified of everyone and everything, You came to me.  You told me that You love me and will protect me and will never leave me. You have kept Your Word.  Jesus, I love You so much.

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us so much You gave Your beloved Son to die for our sins.  Heavenly Father, I pray for all who are discouraged.  Please comfort and encourage them.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.
