NEVER

“There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
Joshua 1:5 KJV

Rev. John M. Moore wrote the hymn “Burdens Are Lifted At Calvary”.  I am so glad the words in this heart touching inspiring hymn are true.  I know they are true from personal experience.  “Troubled soul, the Saviour can see,  Ev'ry heartache and tear;  Burdens are lifted at Calvary Jesus is very near. “

We can trust Jesus to never leave us or fail us.  Since I invited Jesus into my heart, He has never left me.  I read this illustration on a website.  “A husband and wife were in the car going on a trip.  The wife said to her husband “We don’t sit next to each other any more and the husband replied “I haven’t moved”.

If we ever feel like Jesus has left us, He hasn’t because He said He wouldn’t fail us or forsake us.  We are the ones who leave Him and try to do things by ourselves.  It’s no wonder that it seems so difficult to do things and many times the things we do don’t last a long time.

Jesus said  “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing” (John 15:4,5).

No, Jesus will never leave us and we need to rely on Him for guidance and help when we try to do something.  If we will ask Him to help us, He will not only help us, He will also cheer us on to victory if we get discouraged and feel like giving up.
