WHAT IF

“In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

John 14:2,3 KJV

Someone said “My boss deducted the entire day from my paycheck just because I was late to work and I was only late one hour”.  What if God deducted one day in Heaven from us when we didn’t serve Him that day?  I wonder how many days would be deducted from our time in Heaven.

We can find many excuses why we can’t serve Him but if we really love Him, we will do our best to put Him first and serve Him.  If there is something we must do, He understands and doesn’t condemn us.  However, if we’re only watching television instead of telling others about Jesus, we are in trouble.

Television has caused many problems in homes.  A husband and wife had an argument over who was going to control the remote to the television.  They got so angry with each other that they didn’t speak to one another for a week.  How that must have hurt God and broke His heart.

I have to be honest and tell you that before I was saved, I also had the television on most of the day.  When someone called me, instead of answering it, I just let the phone ring.  Have you ever heard someone say “What goes around comes around”?  It is true because what you give out you get back.

May God help us to shut off the television, get out of our comfort zone and serve Jesus Who left His Father to come to earth on His mission and die on the cross for our sins.
