JUST GO

“Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.”
Leviticus 19:18 KJV

I heard one of the most inspiring sermons I have ever heard on the radio last week.  The pastor’s sermon was about helping one another.  The pastor said something that touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes.  He said “Don’t wait for people to ask you for help.  If you know they need help, just go”.

I don’t know about you but it is very hard for me to tell people I need help so the pastor’s sermon is true because I know other people like me who won’t ask for help.  If we see someone in a wheelchair, we know they need help.  There are many people who are in emotional wheelchairs and they need help.

When I went through that devastating crippling depression for forty years, nobody put me in an emotional wheelchair and took me to Jesus.  Only Jesus can heal a broken heart so we need to take them to Jesus and let the great Physician heal them.  One of the things we can do for them is tell them Jesus loves them.

William M. Golden wrote “A Beautiful Life”.  “Each day I’ll do a golden deed, By helping those who are in need, My life on earth is but a span, And so I’ll do the best I can, The best I can.”  We may not have money to help someone but we can pray for them and tell them Jesus loves them and then prove He loves them.

May God help us to be an encouragement to all we see and especially to our pastor and family.  Remember, pastors get tired just like we do and they need to know they are loved and appreciated.  I can honestly say that I have the best Pastor.
