ALL WE NEED

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.  Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever.  Amen.”
Philippians 4:19,20 KJV

Rev. William Charles Poole wrote a beautiful hymn about our precious Saviour “Just When I Need Him Most”.  When we sing this hymn, are we singing it from our heart?  “Just when I need Him, Jesus is strong, Bearing my burdens all the day long; For all my sorrow giving a song, Just when I need Him most.”

I think there are times when we sing a hymn so much that we don’t pay attention to the words we are singing.  Is Jesus really all we need or do we also need money, expensive cars, big houses and other material things?  Can we honestly say from our heart that Jesus is all we need and mean it?

Before I was saved, I was lonely, heartbroken and angry at everyone.  I hated everybody and I was afraid of everyone.  I had no desire to live.  The day I asked God to forgive me for my sins, Jesus saved me and He gave me a new heart.  He took away the anger and gave me a heart of compassion.  What a Saviour!

Heavenly Father, You are a loving compassionate tender and forgiving Father.  Thank You for adopting me into Your family.  What a privilege You have given me to serve the One Who loves me so much He died for me.  Jesus, I love You with all my heart.  I long to see You face to face.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.
