HE WILL NOT FORSAKE US

“When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.  I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.”
Isaiah 41:17,18 KJV

Ludie Carrington Day Pickett wrote one of my favorite hymns “Never Alone”  “When in affliction’s valley I tread the load of care, My Savior helps me carry the cross so heavy to bear; Though all around me is darkness, earthly joys all flown; My Savior whispers His promise, never to leave me alone!”

God has promised us that He will never forsake us so He gave us His beloved Son to not only be our Saviour but also to be our constant Companion.  Our friends and family have to go home but if we have accepted Jesus as our personal Saviour, He lives in our heart and He will never leave us.

Our Heavenly Father is a tender loving compassionate Father and He cares about us.  God knows that we can’t make it through this life by ourselves so He gave Jesus to us to be our Helper and our Guide.  I honestly don’t know how I made it in this life before I was saved.  I wasn’t living, I just existed.

Heavenly Father, thank You for not forsaking us and for giving Jesus to us to be our Saviour, our best Friend and our constant Companion.  I pray for every person who is hurting.  Please comfort and encourage them as You have done for me so many times.  I love You, Father.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.
