HE RESTORES OUR HEART

“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.  And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:”
1 John 2:1 KJV

There are times when a virus will attack our computer even if we have an antivirus program then we have to do a system restore.  Just as we have to do a system restore on our computer when a virus attacks it so God has to restore our heart when viruses of hatred, anger, jealousy and unforgiveness attack our heart.

One of the definitions I found for restore in Webster’s Dictionary is “to return (something) to an earlier or original condition by repairing it, cleaning it, etc.”  When satan attacks us with viruses and we allow them to stay in our heart, we need to repent, ask God to forgive us and ask Him to cleanse our heart.

God is a compassionate Father.  Thomas Chisholm wrote one of my favorite hymns “Great Is Thy Faithfulness”.  “Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father!  There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not As thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.”

Heavenly Father, thank You for being a compassionate Father and thank You for restoring our heart.  What a healing balm it is to our heart to know that You love us unconditionally.  Your love for us is not based on what we do or don’t do.  We praise You for being a loving Father.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.
