GOD’S GRACE

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Ephesians 2:8,9 KJV

One of the definitions I found for grace in Webster’s Dictionary is “Appropriately, the free unmerited love and favor of God, the spring and source of all the benefits men receive from Him.”  Our salvation is a free gift from the heart of God.  Our Heavenly Father gave His Son to die on the cross for our sins.

Our salvation is a gift.  We can’t buy it or work for it.  If we could work for it, Jesus would not have had to be beaten beyond recognition, cursed, spat on and mocked.  Some websites have posted they have a free gift for us but if we want this free gift, we have to send a donation.  That is not a gift.

A gift comes from the heart and it is free.  God’s grace is free to us but it cost Jesus everything, His life.  Jesus took our sins on Him and died on the cross and paid the debt for our sins.  Nobody loves you like God and Jesus love you and nobody ever will.  Their love is unconditional and will never end.

If there has never been a time in your life when you admitted you were a sinner, asked God to forgive you and invited Jesus into your heart to be your personal Saviour, I urge you, I plead with you to open the door of your heart and invite Jesus to come in.

Heavenly Father, we praise You and thank You for Your grace, Your mercy, Your unconditional love and Your forgiveness.  Thank You for loving us so much that You gave Jesus to die on the cross for our sins so we may be saved and go to Heaven.  I love You, precious Saviour.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.
