DROPS OF LOVE

“And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth.  Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever.  Amen.”
Revelation 1:5,6 KJV

Evangelist John Stallings wrote the beautiful inspiring hymn “LOVE GREW WHERE THE BLOOD FELL”.  “Love grew where the blood fell, Flow’rs of hope sprang up for men in misery, Sin died where the blood fell, I’m so glad this precious blood has covered me.”  Thank God for the redeeming blood of Jesus.

The drops of blood that Jesus shed for us while He was hanging on the cross were drops of love for you and for me.  Have you allowed it to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge that Jesus, the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS loves you so much He shed His own blood for you?  O how He loves you.

Think about it!  Jesus did not have to leave Heaven and come to earth and die on the cross for our sins.  Jesus willingly left His Father, His home and all that He had to fulfill the mission God had given Him.  I believe when Jesus left Heaven that His Father gave Him the biggest hug that anyone has ever been given.

The heart of our precious Saviour was broken on Calvary but God’s heart was also broken because His Son was beaten beyond recognition.  God couldn’t even look at His Son because Jesus had taken our sins and God can’t look on sins.  We have a compassionate and loving Saviour!  I love You, dear Jesus.
