HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”

Luke 2:11 KJV

When a baby is born there is a lot of happiness and rejoicing but nothing can equal the happiness and joy that was felt when the Baby Jesus was born.  Happy Birthday Jesus!  I love You with all my heart and I appreciate You so much.  You have never left me, not even for a minute.

Many years ago on the darkest and the most painful day of my life as I lie underneath a bed in a mental hospital where I had crawled because I was afraid of everyone and hated everyone, You came to me.  You put Your loving arms around me and said “I love you, Joanne.”  What happiness and joy filled my heart.

Jesus, You are so precious to me and I love You with all of my heart.  How I long for the day when I will see You face to face.  When I think about You loving me so much that You died on the cross for me, my heart overflows with joy.  How I long for everyone to feel the joy and happiness that I have with You.

This is from my heart to Your heart.  “Happy Birthday to You.  Happy Birthday to You.  Happy Birthday, dear Jesus.  Happy Birthday to You.”  As you are reading this devotion, please join me in singing Happy Birthday to Jesus and sing it from your heart because Jesus is worthy of our praise and adoration.

Heavenly Father, thank You for sharing Jesus with us.  You are a tender loving Father and I love You and appreciate You.  Thank You for adopting me and for the privilege You have given me to serve Your Son.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.
