HE IS AMAZING

“He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.”

John 9:25 KJV

John Newton wrote one of my favorite hymns “Amazing Grace”.  “Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see.” Not only does God give us amazing grace, He is amazing!  We have a loving and compassionate Heavenly Father.

I needed to go to Wal-Mart today but because it is so cold and my arthritis is hurting so much, I could not go.  I was discouraged and just when I thought about going to bed to take a nap, one of my neighbors came over and said he was going to the store and asked me if he could get something for me.

I started laughing and said “God, You are amazing!”  Our Heavenly Father really cares about us and He takes care of us.  We can trust Him because He will never fail us.  We read in the Bible.  “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).

Civilla D. Martin wrote another one of my favorite hymns “God Will Take Care of You”.  The words in this beautiful hymn are so true.  I know this from personal experience.  “Through days of toil when heart doth fail, God will take care of you; When dangers fierce your path assail, God will take care of you.”

What a healing balm it is to our weary battle scarred heart to know our Heavenly Father loves us unconditionally and will always take care of us.  What a privilege it is to be part of God’s family and know that He will always love us and will never disown us or kick us out of His family.
