JESUS KNEW

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16 KJV

Dottie Rambo wrote a beautiful heart touching inspiring hymn about our precious Saviour “If That Isn’t Love”.  “He left the Splendor of Heaven Knowing His destiny Was the lonely hill of Golgotha there to lay down His life for me.”  What a loving compassionate Saviour we are privileged to know and have.

When one of our children gets ready to leave home, we reassure them we love them and we tell them things we think they should know.  I believe when Jesus left Heaven that God and Jesus had a long talk.  God told His Son the things that were going to happen.  He prepared His Son for what would happen.

The day my brother left to go into the service, my Mother stood and watched him go for a long time even when he was out of sight.  I believe when Jesus left Heaven to come to earth that God and Jesus hugged for a long time.  I also believe that as God watched His Son leave, He had tears in His eyes.

William E. Booth-Clibborn wrote a hymn that always brings tears to my eyes “Down from His Glory”.  “Down from His glory, Ever living story, My God and Savior came, And Jesus was His name. Born in a manger, To His own a stranger, A man of sorrows, tears and agony.”  Do you know how much Jesus loves you?

God knew His Son was going to be beaten beyond recognition and crucified for our sins yet He still gave His Son.  What kind of love is this?  It is an amazing and unconditional love for you and for me that can only come from the heart of God.
